Better then regular tracing paper
This is many steps above regular tracing paper. It is like plastic and won't tear easliy. It can be used over and over. There is a lot of film on the roll. It will last me years for my crafting needs. I can't imagine using anything else. Also, The Tandy Leather Factory ships super fast. I like it on this roll. It makes it easy to store for me.

Well worth the cost.
Perfect. Just what I was expecting and enough on the roll to last me for months. Very happy and thinking of purchasing another for my father in law.

Not as good as it used to be...
I know that things get expensive but when I see the quality of the tracing film this thin it makes me cringe. The tracing film that I got some time back was about a 3 mm thick tracing film. This is so thin it's like holding a piece of tracing paper in your hand. I'm guessing it's about a 1 mm thick tracing film. Now some people might ask does it matter? If you like using this method to trace on to your leather then you're tracing film, if it's 1 mm thick, is going to wear out faster than it would if it were a 3 mm film. Why does this matter? (IF) like me you want to be more conscious of how much plastic you're throwing into the trash on a regular basis then having a thicker tracing film that lasts many years that you can file away for person use later, yes it matters. As an alternative to anyone reading this review I'd suggest to you to find 1 sided drafting mylar. It's actually the exact same thing as the flimsy tracing plastic sold here. All of these plastics are actually a polyester plastic that's just renamed to fit the usage of the craft or trade it's applied to. If you can find even a small roll of it you'd be extremely happy as Drafting Mylar is 5 mm thick and can take a beating with a stylus for multiple uses. It's so thick it's almost like a mild form of card stock. It's stiff enough to be a piece of paper and stores quite nicely. If you have problems with your hands like arthritis or carpel tunnel it may not be what you want.
