These are super cute and work fantastically on my kids bookshelf. I have all dark wood shelves and the white color stands out nicely. They are also pretty strong and hold up all my kids normal books and board books well without being TOO heavy that they can't move them if needed. The bookends are small, but that is what I was looking for! They are pretty adorable. They are currently helping keep 25+ books straight and neat on the bookshelves in my kids room.The packaging it came in was fine, but I was not thrilled that the two bookends were tied incredibly tight with a zip tie, so much so that you couldn't get anything under it to cut it. One of the bookends ended up getting a little scratched with my efforts to cut the dang zip tie off. I also didn't feel like a zip tie was warranted in keeping the bookends from moving around or scratching themselves up in transit.UPDATE: Customer service is awesome and is helping me rectify the situation.

These wouldn't hold up my daughters books. The books just toppled over after setting them up, every time. Maybe they need grippers on the bottom. Some of the books that we were trying to hold are large children's board books, which could be the reason these did not hold. They are fairly small, and I think they would hold smaller books and paperbacks well. I am going to try using them on my bookshelves, when i can just use one end and hopefully they will work for those purposes. I purchased the yellow and they are very cute.

I love owls, so when I was looking for bookends, these immediately grabbed my attention. Do they look like they belong in a kid's room? Probably. Do I care? Not in the least.These got to my house on time and in great condition. They were packed in a nice box and wrapped together in plastic. 2 bookends.These look exactly as pictured. Super cute owl on the front with a solid base to support it. They're not bulky in any way. Just a nice pop of color.It seems to be pretty sturdy. It holds my books and larger envelopes well. There aren't any sharp edges to mess up your books or fingers.

These are a bit smaller but they work fine at keeping my hardcover books up. My only wish is that they had some pads on the bottom so they dont scuff the shelf when sliding in. For now, I'm fine with carefully lifting my books and sliding the book ends underneath.

Cheapest thing ever, if i could give these NO stars I would. The bookends do not hold even thin childrens books up. The metal seems to be made of tin foil instead of something strong. Do not waste your money on these they are horrible. Now i get to contact the vendor to see if they will make this right.Follow-up. The customer service is AMAZING. They immediately reached out and made contact with me to try to remedy the situation.

I was pretty disappointed when I pulled these out of the box. They look exactly like the pictures, which I loved, but they are very flimsy. I bought these to hold my sons books on his dresser and after putting the books between them, they just bent over and the books fell on the floor. I didn't want to buy heave bookend because he's almost the age he could reach up and pull them down. So, to use them, I have a stack of books between the bookends, and use a small stack of books on each side to "help" the bookends stay put.

They are cute and get the job done. However, I may need to rearrange the books to put shorter ones on the end and taller ones near the center. The taller books seem to push on the owls more and bend them outwards slightly.

They are like described only a little shorter and flimsy-er than I hoped. But I think they will do the job. We have a bunch of kids books to hold upright and many are pretty big picture books.
