Acer K272HUL Ebmidpx Black 27" 1ms GTG TN
I built a high-end Graphics workstation, designed around editing 2K video and very heavy Photoshop use.Specifics: Win 10 Pro, 64bit with a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060, w/6GB video card.I really love the new Acer K272HUL monitor and for an outstanding price too! The monitor is very bright and the colors look awesome after I calibrated it for my environment, Precisely. The viewing angles are surprisingly very good and the monitor can be clocked at 75 Hz through Nvidia control panel. I've already tested it in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. I only have a couple of games (I'm NOT a Gammer by any means!), but experienced no screen tearing and/or no flickering whatsoever in either games or graphic intensive applications. Text is rich and easy to read for my tired old eyes! You'll never find a comparable 2560 x 1440, with these specs, within this price range!Once I plugged in the native DVI-D and/or HDMI cable Windows 10 found everything. Other then a slight modification in calibration. I made no tweaks at all.OTHER THOUGHTS:- There are two versions of this monitor, one that uses an IPS panel and the other a TN panel. I bought the Acer K272HUL Ebmidpx version, which uses a TN panel.- In my business color matching is EVERYTHING! I used a Spyder5Pro (available here on Amazon at a really great price!). I was happily surprised to note only a minor color shift (warmer) and contrast (higher), right out of the box. If "precise" monitor calibration is not as critical to you, you will most likely Love it right out of the box! If not, most adjustments can be made within the Nvidia control panel (refresh rate, brightness, contrast, gamma, and colors) - or other graphics card software. I'm told that the Windows 10 system works well, but to be honest, I have never tried it.- After reading several reviews regarding "fuzzy text", I was prepared to try the hack (Change: Setting/Display/Scale & Layout/ to 101%), as suggest, but no adjustment was required for my case.- I didn't really use the mouse much at 75 Hz. After reading several people complaining about slow or sluggish mouse movement, (it's always been my humble opinion that this cause is related to the 75 Hz refresh rate). Nevertheless a hack that seemed to be working for them was an adjustment in Settings/Mouse/Speed.- I had no issues running HDMI 1.4 or DVI-D at 2560 x 1440p.CON:-The DVI-D cable was only 4 feet long.- I had forgotten the monitor has built in speakers, their very soft, but sounded good to me - low volume. I haven't really tried to disable them, but it's not really a concern since I am using a native DVI-D cable, which, of course, doesn't support audio anyway.

Wonderful design and this is an excellent screen for offices or visual editors
Mild-Moderate ghosting makes for the same eye-strain I was hoping to avoid.Wonderful design and this is an excellent screen for non-gamers.I personally get this terrible 1/4 inch black boarder which should be usable screen real-estate.its good but the person your buying this for will think your cheap. 6/10Updating* Speakers on this thing are awful, just the worst grade of speakers you could imagine. Sound is "Tinny" Flat sounding, You'll need dedicated speakers for this monitor for sure.

Phenomenal 2560 x 1440p for its price and can be clocked at 75 Hz through windows settings
A few things people need to know: there are two versions of this monitor, one that uses an IPS and the other a TN panel. I bought theAcer K272HUL Ebmidpx (the TN panel) for my father for father's day and set it up on my personal machine first to test it. I have to say that I really love the monitor and for this price it is phenomenal. The monitor is bright and the colors look really good after it's been calibrated properly. The issue that a lot of folks have is that they do not know how to properly calibrate a monitor. I used the Nvidia control panel to adjust the settings (brightness, contrast, gamma, and colors) and made adjustments incrementally. The viewing angles are actually pretty good for a TN panel and the monitor can be clocked at 75 Hz through Nvidia's software. I've already tested it on a few games and experienced no screen tearing while running games through my GTX 1080. I liked the monitor so much that I purchased two more of these to use for my personal dual monitor setup. You won't find a comparable 2560 x 1440p, with similar specs, at this price range. The only negative aspect of the monitor would be the speakers, but we use external speakers anyways and I personally have my Logitech wired headset with 7.1 dolby, so I could care less that the speakers aren't very powerful (they're not as bad as people make them out to be though and work fine for normal use).

A big, beautiful picture
I bought this Acer display to replace an Acer 24" monitor I've had for about 2 years. I had been very happy with the picture quality on the older unit, but just wanted some additional screen real estate. The new 27" unit doesn't disappoint - images are sharp, colors are clear and bright, text is crisp. I've been pleased with the monitor when I use it for photo editing in Lightroom, the high resolution is great. I don't use this system for gaming, but the few 4K UHD videos I've watched look brilliant.Only two minor nits prevent me from giving this unit 5 stars:1) When placed side-by-side with my older 24" Acer, colors on this monitor don't seem to have *quite* the same saturation and tone quality. However, it's possible that I just need to spend more time tweaking the controls to get it perfectly dialed in.2) An small oddity about this monitor - which I've also noticed on other similar hi-res displays - is that when you drag a window around the screen, there's a slight ghosting effect around text while the window is moving. It seemedobvious and bothersome when I first used the display, but after a couple of weeks I've found it far less noticeable. (Amazing how our brains learn to filter out some signals!) In any case, it's a minor issue for me - I'm still very happy with the display.

Dead in less than a year.
Box came opened. Exchanged, box arrived open again. Box lists IPS screen, actual product was correct TN screen.Would suggest finding this elsewhere unless you don't mind open box/used....Aaand dead in less than a year. Garbage

Good monitor (it IS IPS) but bad shipping practices.
Product arrived partially damaged, and has a green line of pixels down one side. It can be temporarily fixed by applying pressure to the back of the panel, but it is still quite annoying.
