I got this 3 months ago in USA, and it never worked with any SIM. I thought this might be a regional problem. But it doesn't work in Asia and Europe either.

Great, cheap and really small — A minimalistic phone choice for a healthier 21st century lifestyle
This phone was just what I needed. I own a iPhone 6 Plus, which I find a bit too big and clunky to carry around in my pocket. I usually always have to keep it in my bag or in my jacket if the pockets are large enough. Now I just leave my iPhone in my bag, and carry this tiny phone on me for calls and texting. Before ordering I wasn't sure if texting even would be possible on this phone. I mean the screen on this thing is tiny, especially compared to my iPhone. For me at least texting on this phone has proved effortless. Reading the texts on this phone is fairly easy, even though longer texts require some scrolling. You also have to remember what the person texted you when you are writing a reply, which can be difficult if you come from the era of chat bubbles. I grew up with the old nokia phones, so for me this phone has brought back some phone nostalgia to my life. Texting on this phone is fairly easy. I don't use the smart texting feature as English is not my primary language. The build quality seems really good. I even opened my phone to see if I could fit in an even larger battery. Getting battery life reaching up to a week would be amazing! With moderate usage I have been able almost reach 72 hours of battery life, but on busy days I usually have to charge it every second day or so. It charges really fast though. One thing that annoys me is the charger. It is really flimsy. It is cool that theres no charge port and plugs, only some pins on the back for charging. Even though the charger has a magnet it doesn't really stick that well to your phone. The charger has to be placed on a flat surface and can't be moved around without charging being disrupted. I would really wish they came up with a solution so you could charge this thing in your bag or pocked without having to worry about the charger disconnecting. This phone has also proven to be great when hitting town with the squad for a night out. I don't have to bring my iPhone to keep in touch with friends, and because this phone is quite cheap I don't have to worry if I loose it. This tiny phone is also a great conversation starter with strangers. Most people are really curious, and this phone does get you noticed. All in all though I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a simple, relatively cheap phone. I try to keep my phone lifestyle minimalistic. Keeping apps to a minimum, decluttering what can be decluttered. This phone slides right into a minimalistic lifestyle, and I see no problems using this phone as your standalone phone either.

FYI
only works on 2G networks, so, if you are thinking about putting an AT&T or T-Mobile sim in this thing, think again. It's basically a paperweight at this point.
