Very beautiful, extreme holographic effect
I ordered this on a whim after seeing a similar item on BuzzFeed. I'd never heard of it or seen it in person, but had to have it! I read the info and reviews on page for this and similar powders, then followed the instructions in the package when it arrived.I've used this twice now, and it's absolutely gorgeous. It doesn't provide 100% opaque coverage, but it's close, and unlike with similar nail polishes, this powder doesn't make the UV gel chip off. My second attempt looked even better than my first.I use a 48W UV LED lamp. (I'm going to review it tonight, so check my profile for the exact model.) The first time I did my nails, I cured the PrettyDiva no wipe top coat for 30 seconds and had no trouble getting the polish to stick on or buff off. I'm attaching a photo of the first time I used it.The second time, I cured the same no wipe top coat for just 25 seconds, and I got much better coverage. You can hardly tell that there's any aubergine under there. In all but a few tiny spots where I was overzealous with my buffing, my holographic nails look foiled.I love this, and ordered more colors the same day I tried it for the first time. The experience seems to be hit or miss for many, so my best advice is to play around with technique. That's the only way to solve problems with gel polish. Everyone is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Two more notes - use a topcoat that you can dedicate exclusively to this, unless you can be extremely diligent about wiping off the brush. It's almost impossible not to get some in the brush when applying the final top coat. And, if you are going to do just one or two nails, seal all your other nails before you start with this powder. It is easy to get a few sparkles on adjacent nails.

Totally recommend it!
I was hesitant on buying this holo powder because of some of the reviews saying it didn't stick, didn't work, came out grey, or just wasn't good.. I took the chance and got it. I'm SO happy I did. It's great! I'm assuming the negative reviews were people who didn't apply it correctly. (It even comes with instructions though) I posted two pictures one without flash and one with flash. I used Sally Hansens gel nail kit. It worked great for me! I watched a few YouTube tutorials ahead of time, searched things like "holographic nail tutorial" and watched their technics and ways of doing it.My instructions would be:1- rough your nails up a little with a nail file2-apply clear gel base coat (regular may work as well but what I've seen online gel is recommended and it will last longer)3- I applied 2 coats of pink gel nail polish4- I applied a very thin clear coat of gel and put it under the blue light for only 30 seconds. (What's very important is that the clear coat ontop is tacky so it helps the powder stick)5- I used the applicator sponge that was given with the powder (which it came with 2!) I lightly dipped it into the powder and pressed it on my nail in several different places to help it spread a little then I lightly rubbed the applicator sponge all over the nail until the powder evenly spread amongst the nail. I even did it a couple times to get solid coverage.6- I applied a top gel coat and that's all!!!!Oh, I also remember a few complaints were the powder container was extremely small, and that it wasn't full. Well, compared to the picture they show.. it's genuinely that size especially if you compare it to the nails it's next to. So yes, it's small but all the containers I've come across online are. Secondly, it isn't full but once again.. all the containers I've come across online never are. It's a very very fine powder and you don't need much of it at all to do a full set of nails. It will last you a long time and for only $9.99... it's a total steal!

This is soooo easy and soooo cool!!!! Here's how I did it....
I just did this and I'm still wearing it. Unfortunately my work lighting does not bring out the brilliance of this holographic polish, because when the sunlight hits it, you can't take your eyes off it. Here's how I applied it, perfect on the first try:1. Used my normal gel base coat.2. Cured under my LED light for 30 seconds.3. Applied one coat of white gel polish - any color would work, in fact, no color and just the base coat would probably work.4. Cured for 30 seconds under my LED light5. Bought the One Dor no wipe top coat as recommended and applied one coat6. Counted to 10 under my LED light7. Took the eyeshadow looking applicator and dipped it into the powder - a little goes a long way8. Using a circular motion, covered the entire nail with the powder. You will see the effect immediately.9. Repeat with all nails10. Apply one more top coat. I used the no wipe top coat I used on the previous coat because you will get particles of the powder into your no wipe top coat and I didn't want to get them in two separate bottles of top coat that I have. I like my gellish top coat better than the One Dor no wipe top coat I purchased just for this powder, it seems to be stronger/harder, but I've had this polish on for a week now with no chipping. I'm so excited that this turned out so well and was as easy as it was. I read lots of reviews with instructions before I did this and only did one nail first to make sure it worked. I'm for sure doing my toes with this powder next. I'm excited to try the chrome powder. Have fun!
