Look, this covers the trope of black girl dates white boy and family has concerns. Bernie Mack is so great as the prejudiced dad and Ashton Kutcher basically plays himself haha. The other characters in the family add some realistic family feel, and it's cool to see some strong women who are also kind and loving. A lot of awkward fun, Meet the Parents type of situation. Has me laughing always.

I could relate to this movie even in these modern times where there's not much racism because I'm white and my fiance is black I think this movie was funnier 20 years ago but it's not bad and the characters have good funny chemistry

Typically I'm not into romance movies as I get bored with the same formulas in every story however while this one follows those formulas it allows has a fun time making fun of them and gives you a relatable experience of what ir could be like meeting your inlaws for the firt time lol.Love how the father and boyfriend interact and compete against each other and end up getting into trouble. It's like meet the parents but with a more comedy rivalry to it lol

One of my favorite movies

The pace of this movie is a little uneven, but the comedy dominates the plot. Every scene is a gem. Not great, but played just right, so a gem.This was made when Ashton Kutcher, the perennial boy-like man, really was young. Zoe Saldana was the best choice they could make for his love interest. Bernie was brilliant. RIP, big man!

作品も購入先の対応も申し分ないです。購入先は何のﾄﾗﾌﾞﾙももちろんなく購入後ｽﾑｰｽﾞに到着。梱包も問題なかったので今後も機会があればぜひお世話になりたいと思います。作品に関しては最初はﾚﾝﾀﾙして気に入り何度も見たくて今回購入しました。しばらくは『3本¥1,000』とかの特価で売ってないかなぁと探していたのですが見つけられず･･･。それでも欲しくて購入した作品です。笑いありほろりありって感じです。ｺﾒﾃﾞｨｰに重きを置いたものは苦手だったりする私ですが登場人物が頑張って状況をいいものにしようとしてそれがからまわって･･･内容の流れに自然に笑いが含まれててその空回り方が微笑ましい心地よいｺﾒﾃﾞｨでした。お父さん役の『ﾊﾞｰﾆｰ・ﾏｯｸ』は若くに突然亡くなられてとっても残念。こんなに楽しい役の姿を見るといまだに本当に亡くなったの？って感じです。ｵｰｼｬﾝｽﾞｼﾘｰｽﾞも彼がいなくなってしまい今後続編は無いだろうといわれる程。とっても素敵な俳優さんです。彼氏役の『ｱｼｭﾄﾝ・ｸｯﾁｬｰ』はここ最近ﾌﾟﾗｲﾍﾞｰﾄで大変見たいです。が、私としては彼を目当てに見た訳ではないのに見てみたら「私好き」って思う作品(ﾊﾞﾀﾌﾗｲ・ｴﾌｪｸﾄ1､最後に恋に勝ﾙｰﾙ･･･etc)に結構出演しているのでなんか気になる俳優さんです。彼女役の『ｿﾞｰｲ・ｻﾙﾀﾞﾅ』はｱﾊﾞﾀｰの女優さんです。この作品で彼女がすごくｷｭｰﾄだなって思いました。今までなんで気付かなかったんだろう？？？
