Fantastically practical and lightweight solar watch.
I've had this watch for a couple of months and I've been really happy with it. I always thought that I liked heavy watches, but this watch is extremely light, even though it is hefty looking, and I must say, light is the way to go. I don't worry about breaking the band when I'm doing something active because the weight is light. It's easy to clean, it self-charges in light, and it has a backlight for the digital time display if needed. It's not fancy, but it is extremely practical, with a countdown timer I use daily for breaks at work, and a stop watch and day/date feature. Also has easy to read analog time. Really great watch for the price, and knowing I'll never have to deal with dead batteries is such a plus.

Great Casio watch for the money!
The Casio watch is solar and has everything you need to know, except the year, at a glance. Very comfortable for everyday wear. I use it when I walk my dog for long walks, and hike with him. I leave it on during showers and haven't had any problems. I usually don't leave any watch on in the shower, because of the soap, but I've owned Casio watches for years and never a problem. Light is okay at night, but having the hands makes it easy to see. Great watch to own!

TOUGH is an understatement
This is THE BEST “beater” watch I’ve found and I really do like the features. I do HVAC including service and install. I do plumbing, electrical, yard work, build things, work on & service vehicles and motorcycles and I beat the ever-loving crap out of my daily wear “work” watches.I wear a watch 24/7/365 and long ago I became sick of destroying watches I worked in every 3-6 months. That includes Luminox watches, that I do love, which would hold up except that they use a hard crystal which cracks too easily from impacts. That was, until I tried the Casio brand again for the first time since I was a kid. The Casios were holding up better than anything to that point. And then I found the AQ-S810W “Tough Solar”.This watch has held up better than EVERY other watch I’ve tried. It held up to 2 years of daily abuse at which point the band had finally had enough so I replaced the band. Shortly thereafter I decided to, once more, give a smart watch a try and so I left his watch sitting in the sun in my work van as a backup ‘just in case’ for a year and a half. Once I was done, once again, with the smart watch experiment I put this watch back on. After 2 years of daily beatings and 1.5 years riding around in my work van it still worked just fine but the scratches on the “crystal” (appears to be a resin or plastic on this watch) made it difficult to see the small digital screen at the bottom. No worries, I spent about 15 minutes with buffing compound. 1,050 grit and a rinse, 1,500 grit and a rinse and then 3,000 grit and a rinse. After the beatings I’ve given it, the screen still isn’t pristine but it’s shiny again and I can see the face and display perfectly well. IT JUST KEEPS ON GOING.I love the analog hands. I prefer the look and I prefer the instant, subconscious recognition of glancing at hands. I also love the digital features and precision while the screen is small and doesn’t dominate the face. Backlight, 5 alarms and stopwatch functions are used all the time and appreciated. Short term, accurate, on-the -fly timing is also possible simply due to the digital display. I also have the date and day of the week available at 1-2 button presses which is typically used MULTIPLE times a day to date parts I’m installing (as I can never seem to remember what the date is without looking it up). I find the world time function useful when I travel. Simply pick the time zone you’re traveling to as a “world time” and you can “swap” it then swap back to your home time zone when you return home. Yes, that’s without going through the trouble of actually setting your watch time and then setting it back.Additionally, the analog hands are DIGITALLY controlled! Make a change to your digital time and the analog hands set themselves! Also, my experience has been that violent impacts and vibrations don’t damage the movement. A few times the minute hand has gotten knocked out of calibration. When that happens there is a simple procedure to “rezero” or recalibrate it and then all is well.I mentioned that I believe the “crystal” on this watch is actually resin and that, after 2 years of extreme abuse & another 1.5 years sitting in the sun in a vehicle, it had gotten difficult to see the digital screen due to the scratches. Well, I see this as a benefit for a work watch. While hard crystal doesn’t scratch easily it will break easily with impacts. This resin “crystal” scratches but, meanwhile, it takes the impact without breaking. And when you want to get rid of the scratches, all but the deepest gouges, you can wet sand it or use a polishing compound to clean the “crystal” right back up. Alternatively, I suppose you could use a screen protector but, in my opinion, why deal with that on a work watch? Use a screen protector if you don’t want to baby your expensive dress watch or smart watch but want to protect it. Your work watch? Just let it be, take the beating and then buff the “crystal” when desired. To be clear, I don’t LOVE the look of this watch. It isn’t my favorite design for looks but I like it well enough. What I love about this watch is the endless abuse it can take, the features that are just right and the outrageous value. This watch is well and truly TOUGH.

Good Qulaity for Price
I like the durability and utility. Large face looks decent on large arm, but likely not on skinny or small one. Agree with comments about hand positioning making it difficult to see digital display at :30. Also, a pain to adjust if you forget the process.

Great watch, I always loved Casio and this is no exception.
What can you say about Casio, by far one of the most reliable watches I have ever owned, and I have had some very expensive watches, but this thing just keeps going and going, and because its solar, never change the batteries, now, this is my second one because the band broke on the other one, watch still works fine, but these are so inexpensive I thought another one of a different color would be nice, and it is my everyday watch.. The only issue really is the light, it has one, but very dim, not great in the dark as I would like, but thats a small thing.. great for the money.

Great value
I got this to replace an aging timex digital sport watch that I wear to the beach and stuff like that where I want a count down timer to remind me when to turn over while sunning. This watch is packed with features I didn't realize it had when I decided to purchase it. I just opened the box and set it up for my time zone, DST, timer duration and time setting. It was detailed but easy to follow the directions so it only took about 20 minutes to completely set it up, although I don't understand why it has a DST setting on or off, it doesn't change when the time changes for DST. A big plus is that I should never have to replace a battery. The only thing I wish it did like my old timex is for the count down timer to reset and countdown over and over. A louder alarm beep would be good too. Another good thing is after wearing it for about a year now the band is still in good shape. I was concerned because I had a plastic band on a cheaper watch just fall apart while I was walking down the sidewalk.

SO FAR SO GOOD
I guess I'm old fashion. I like analog instead of digital watches. The watch is new therefore there shouldn't be any problems.Likes: analog, nice looking, looks well made. Dislikes: At the half hour, the minute hand is in the way. It's hard to read the digital time at night. No hand illumination.

The ultimate beater watch
After having it for over a year, I can honestly say that this is one of the best value watches on the market. You get a durable, accurate, lightweight, solar powered analog with all the benefits of a digital, including world time, five alarms and a DST function. All that in a cool looking watch that regularly goes on sale for less than fifty bucks is unbelievable. It may be a little large for some wrists, but if you like big watches, you won't regret buying this one.

Es una roca. INDESTRUCTIBLE

The media could not be loaded. Tengo casi un año con el reloj , son buenos, a mí me gustan mucho y sobre todo que no es necesario la pila en estos modelos

Great watch and it's solar powered.
Considering the price, it is a great watch, It looks better in reality than in the photo and it is solar, so you do not to change the batteries. It is not atomic, but if you choose your city, it accurately adjusts itself but you still need to change it to day light saving time.
