Easy to use. Connects well to CarPlay
I like the connection and ease of use. My son kept getting aggravated when trying to plug in his previous chargers. The magnetic chargers are so much easier for him. I originally bought them for him, but I liked them so much I switched to these chargers too. My husband has slowly been starting to use them too. I didn’t realize that there were different types of magnetic chargers I ordered a few with different amounts of pins. This one is my favorite and works the best. This is the only one I could get to work with my CarPlay. They charge in a decent amount of time. Not super fast, but decent.

Has a raised edge to store well when not in used, but not represented on the page
I've had these magnetic cables and with them lasting only a few years, much like other cables. It works with the other 5 pin t magnets out there. I think that's where the confusion comes from, that there are at least 3 different pin types out here. What stands out is the extra plastic which raises the edges a bit at the magnetic end that connects to the tip. This allow me to stick it onto something metal when I'm not using it without the risk of Ripping the magnet from it's home; as many of these photos portray. I also notice a reduction of ferrous dirt getting stuck in there, but not sure if this is due to the extra plastic or simply because I am better at keeping it from dirty and useable this time around.Overall, I've had these longer than the ones without the raised edges that I've had before.

Good product
Works great, I wish the magnet was a little bit stronger.

Magnetic charging cables
These are good idea, however they intermittently stop charging. If play with them they continue to charge.

Update dead They work about as often as they don't
I'm still on the fence about whether I'm keeping these or not - I specifically bought them for carplay and they work... about half the time or less. I've had to restart my phone at least 20% of the connection attempts in order to get it to work.I also use it to charge my phone while on my bike trainer. It will connect (sometimes) and then inexplicably stop working, leaving my phone completely drained of battery when my ride is over - not what I'm looking for.Overall, seems like a bad product but not completely useless.I have used Digital Ant in the past with more success but they don't make enough different cord lengths.so at least in the car I've discovered a workaround solve - if the magnet is connecting but the iphone won't connect, press the power and the volume up key like you are powering the phone off. When the prompt comes up to shut down the phone, the phone should connect and you can cancel the shutdown prompt. Painful but it works. It’s July 25th and the cable I left in my car to connect to my car play system no longer works. Totally dead.I was really hopeful for this product but I think I’m done with magnet cables now.Update this stopped working in my car about a month later and it hasn't worked since (even after purchasing a new phone). Considering this is the only reason I bought these cables, this is about as crappy as a product gets. Stay away.

They work well for my needs
I have been using magnetic phone chargers for some time now. I first had the ones that only charge and did not support data transmission. After getting a new car that has Android Auto, I wanted to be able to connect and charge at the same time. I chose these because I particularly like the swivel design of the magnetic end. That feature is very helpful for us.As with any magnetic charger, there are sometimes unwanted disconnects. These are no different. However, if you are aware of this, and do not pull on the cable or put your phone where the cable will be in a bind, it is not usually a big problem. To say I like them is a bit of an understatement. I just purchased my third set. All our phones (and any other USB devices) are now equipped with these connectors and cables. I have cables in each vehicle and in areas I feel we may want/need to charge a device. This makes it easy to charge any of our devices at anytime.Data transmission is OK, I do not have other magnetic charge/data combos to compare. There may be faster out there, but these do the job I need done and I am happy with them. Our phones will show "slow charging" if I do not use an adapter that has a minimum of 2 amps of charging power. Otherwise, over that and they do not give that notification.I had a small issue with my last set. I contacted the seller and they made the issue right with no reservations. I am pleased all the way around. I hope this helps anyone considering these magnetic cables.

quality
I will give this one more day, but last night it didn't charge my phone at all, it went to 53 % only, my phone sits on a night stand and doesn't move, either it doesn't charge worth a damn or the magnet isn't strong enough to hold on to the insert.

These magnetic data cables are great!
This is the second set of these cables that I have purchased. The only reason I needed to purchase these, one of my original cables had gotten slightly iffy. Another one, the magnet came loose from the tip. Other than that, no complaints at all. That's why I bought a second set. There is a tiny issue with this second set. The little plastic shroud around the magnet on some of them is longer, causing the magnet to be recessed slightly. That is causing a minor issue with clearance in my phone case. But the three cables that have that problem, aren't a problem right now. I don't need them. Later, I may carefully cut that little extra ring from around that shroud to expose the magnet, or modify the case on my cell phone so that that hole is slightly larger. And either case, these cables are great. When I wear this set out, I'll buy another set. In the attached picture, I put the tips of two of the cable side by side. You can see that the one on the left has a slightly deeper shroud, which really protects the magnet I would think. I believe the ultimate solution will be to slightly enlarge the hole in my phone case that goes around where the matching magnetic tip fits in my phone.
