It murdered my hair dryer
Alright y’all. Strap in and lemme tell you a story.I bought this alien brain hat thing because I wanted to strip color out of my hair. In order to do that, you have to process with heat. (Yes I know you shouldn’t do hair at home, but it’s done now). So I turned to Amazon, my ever reliable source for strange and wonderful products, and proceeded to search for hair caps to process heat.I found this thing and thought, well the price isn’t bad and I’ll probably only use it once. I read other reviews and mostly everyone said that it will burn the living bananas out of your ears and neck. I thought, I can sacrifice a little bit of nerve endings on my ears for the price as long as it works, we’ll give it a shot.So I ordered it. Once it arrived, I dedicated some time in the bathroom to doing this hair thing I was set on. Once it was time to process my hair with this brain-hat, I put it on and hooked it up to my hair dryer. This is where things started to go a little bit south. The elastic band at the end of the elephant-trunk-tube was too small. So I wrestled that ish onto the end of my hair dryer, bloodying a finger in the process, but somehow managed to get it on.Alright, making some progress, I thought. I secured the hat as tightly as I could with the little adjuster cord thing. I turn on the hair dryer. The cap inflated to full volume, puffing out, looking like a giant silver bucket on my head. I look like I’m gonna go on a space mission. Whatever, it’s not for style. So I turn on my timer and wait. About two minutes in, the back of my neck and tops of my ears begin sizzling like they’ve just been stuck in a frying pan and I’m sitting in the bathroom floor in a towel, awkwardly holding the hair dryer and trying to hold the burning silver cap off my tender ears and neck. I tried tucking a towel around it and that worked for a few minutes but not very effectively. I mean, I think I’m still missing some nerve endings that might have been fried off during this experiment.I’m tough, so I thought, I can handle this, there’s just ten more minutes to go. Then the hair dryer shuts off. The smell of hot burning metal and plastic is thick in the air. This thing made my hair dryer overheat and it killed it. The alien brain cap killed my hair dryer. R.I.P. The elephant-trunk-tube must have insulated the heat and just, I dunno, made the hair dryer way too hot.So then I was left trying to improvise (I still had ten minutes left to process my hair with heat but that’s a different story for another day) and had a dead hair dryer. So long story short, it worked for a minute but murdered my dryer, rendering it completely useless and forcing me to buying a new hair dryer. (The hair dryer never recovered even after it cooled down).

This product is a great idea, but terrible implementation
This product is a great idea, but terrible implementation. The elastic to fit onto the hair dryer is not large enough for my dryer. Once I got a dryer to use, the drawstring was not enough to hold the bonnet on my head once air was going. I am now buying an actual hair dryer. I will not make this mistake again.6/19/17 EDIT The company has been very willing to refund for me for the purchase, as they acknowledge there are some product defects. A new product is being designed.

Far too much heat on neck. Hose flies off dryer.
Don’t waste your money! I thought this was a cheap solution to heat my hair for hair masks. Unfortunately, there are way too many design issues, the largest being excessive heat on the neck area. It was about 5 seconds before I was yelling in pain and ripped this off my head. I read the reviews before I bought this, and I’m surprised this hasn’t been an issue in the reviews.First, I’d like to correct some FREQUENT erroneous feedback. This DOES have a chin strap as pictured! Tie it tight or this will fly off your head. Here are the serious problems with this product. I have not seen either of these problems in the feedback. I wouldn’t EVER use this on a child due to the serious burn issues.* There is PAINFUL excessive heat on your neck. While there are no air holes on the upper neck, the plastic is far too thin to keep from transferring heat. I used medium heat and it was still way too hot. I don’t mean “uncomfortable” hot. I mean “burn your skin” hot!* The elastic band that fits over the mouth of your hair dryer is not nearly tight enough. It immediately blows off. To make this hairdryer work, I had to HOLD that piece while using. As you can see, these are serious enough issues that I give it a big DON’T BUY.

Please ensure that you wear something to preven the heat from burning your ears also ensure you secure the sting
The media could not be loaded. This works as described and it dries my hair very quickly. Two things I did not like was that it the heat burns my ears and it doesn’t stay secure to my head even thu I used the string under my neck. I definitely love the product and I do continue to use it.

This product works. Would buy it again.
I have thick hair. It dried my hair (on 3/4 inch rollers) in 15 minutes with hair dryer on low. Before using it, I had to cut the elastic that fits over the dryer nozzle (because the elastic was too tight). I liked the fact that it dries hair evenly all over my head.

Does it’s job does burn a little tho
I see a lot of comments saying it doesn’t have a chin strap but mine does. It burns a lot but I just press the chill button on my blow dryer when it gets to be to much haven’t used it to much but last time I used maybe 30 mins and my hair was still pretty wet and I’m using this for my rollers thought it might be a nice healthy way of curling my hair it’s not to bad I’d recommend it

meh. It kinda works. I have a large head and a lot of hair. this thing came off. In order to get it to stay on my head i had to have the dryer on low and i had to cinch the cord so tight I ended up with a deep crease in my forehead.

I like this
This product has been a life saver! I do not have room for a hood dryer, so I bought this. It works very well and is easy to use. Space saving. Only issue I had, is that when the blow dryer is going on high, the snap straps under the chin do not sustain the power, so instead of snapping the snaps, I tied it as well.
