Why isn't the seller answering any of these questions? A lot of people seem to be having problems with setup, yet there's no help from the seller.

The Active Stepping Workout - This is the workout where the platforms move up and down as you shift your body weight to the higher platform, simulating the motion of climbing stairs. The intensity of the step height is controlled by the knob located at the front of the frame. Turn the knob clockwise to insert the knob deeper into the frame to raise the pedals to their highest position. Reduce the maximum stepping height by turning the knob counterclockwise to reduce the stepping height intensity for an easier workout. Make sure to remove the locking pins that may be located directly beneath the foot platforms. These pins will prevent the active stepping motion in not removed. The maximum active step height is approximately 10 inches. The minimum active step height is as low as 0 inches. If you step down, and the opposite platform does not rise up, you have not inserted the height adjustment knob deep enough into the frame. Get off the stepper and turn the knob clockwise. If turning the knob clockwise is difficult, raise one of the foot platforms, then turn the knob. Step Up Platform Workout - This is the workout where the platforms stay locked at the same height, allowing you to step up onto the platforms from the ground. Completely remove the knob from the front of the machine to simplify the installation of the locking pins. The locking pins will be inserted directly into one of the holes below the foot platforms, see the manual for clear images of these hole position. There are 3 height options for this: 8 inches 10 inches 12.5 inches

It actually does a bit. Whenever the steps come into contact with the bottom back bar they make a thump noise that isnt very loud. And if you use the pins for different levels, it makes a clanging sound. I dont use the pins since I use this machine in the room near my toddler's room and I also muffle the thump sound with a folded towel laying onto of the back bottom bar. Hope this helped.

Anyone using this that’s 6’3” or taller? How is your experience?

I'm 6'1" 215 and love mine. I'm 64 athletic but balance isn't what it once was so I use a couple of tripod speaker stands to hold onto while working out with this. (Ski poles or walking sticks would work as well). Tried it with the resistance bands and struggled. Nice and quiet too which was a concern in this upper floor studio apartment. I've found that I rarely bottom out the step which would create a bit of a thud, but have duct taped some packaging foam under step stops just in case. It had a light squeak after some use, but after some 3 and 1 in some spots it has been a silent workout. One thing I believe would be an improvement is to have some resistance adjustment on the cylinders. It's much easier than climbing real stairs, but you can go faster and longer of course if desired. And I think it's better than other machines that have the tip toe motion. Hope this helps with your shopping.
