Feel well constructed, design doesn't work for me
This rack feels well constructed and is easy to install. Also their customer service is excellent, getting back to me on a install question the same day. My question was basically does the metal plate set on top my crossbars (see pics) this didn't look right to me as the metal bracket has a notch in the middle resulting in a narrow contact point on my metal rails. The rack also includes nice rubber coated clamping brackets that clamp onto the bottom of my crossbars. These rubber coated brackets made me wonder if I had mounted the rack correctly as the metal on the top of my rails is sure to scratch them while the nice rubber coated brackets will not scratch the underside. Response from customer service was that the crossbars are a consumable and scratches are irrelevant. I can't disagree with that statement but I think there are better options for me so I returned this rack. Since I never actually used these I can't say how well they will work but they look solid.

Could be better
This product is just ok for the price paid. The two sides have tubes which are supposed to slide inside each other. One side was wider than the other and would not slide together until I bent the tube slightly so it would match up. More on the tubes, when assembled and kayaks installed the two sections kept sliding apart no matter how tight I got the clamps it slid apart. I pushed the two sides together and drilled a hole through both tubes and installed a stainless steel screw through each tube. It is now much more solid. The part of the rack that goes against your roof rack is metal so you end up with metal on metal and that causes the system to slide around even when extremely tight. The bottom clamp is rubber and if they made the top rubber coated it would be much more solid and wouldn’t immediately rub the powder coating or paint off of your roof rack. It was easy to install. If I wasn’t going on a trip so soon I’d return it.

2 kayaks and a couple of smiles
No complaints so far.Constructions is very sturdy and the racks were packaged with care.Went down to my mail room and got the package... installed in about 15 minutes, then headed to pick up 2 kayaks for a mother’s day gift.2 kayaks sit nicely in the racks and the straps were long enough to hold them both on, and bring them home safely.

Very Impressed
I researched A LOT of options for roof racks and selected this one. Based on the description and tech details I "thought" I was getting something of good quality - but, hey, it's the internet and you can actually get anything.Upon receipt, I found it was packed very well, and the construction was excellent. Solid material, thick walls, thick padding. Basically, very well built. Easy - Quick - to assemble and install.

It works.
This product is 100$ more than their competitors and I feel it doesn't address the cheapness issues that this products have. Plastic wing nuts being one of them. The product needs to be consistently retightened after every gas refill. The straps could be heavier duty too. That being said. It carried my kayak from Tennessee to Colorado.
