A Very Handy, Even Necessary, Guide
First, the edition I bought may not be the most current one. I still have found this edition very relevant and so helpful. The more recent editions will have updated cost comparisons and reflect whatever changes in technology and internet services there may be.This is a very useful tool, so useful that I haven't felt hampered by the older publishing date. This book will help you to figure out what questions to ask, how to ask them, how to stay organized and how to avoid problems with contract disputes. Now, some brides are very savvy about this planning stuff already, but I fall in the "totally clueless" spectrum. This book is so perfect for anyone who is "clueless" but I strongly suspect it will also be a helpful guide for those who are more savvy. If I was a Wedding Planner, I would encourage my clients read this, as I think it would make them easier to communicate with.

Great Advice
I wish I had this book when I was getting married. But I'm so glad I have it to help my friends with the way the economy is, its much harder to plan a wedding than it was back in the 90s. This book provides simple and useful tips. Its pages are displayed in a reader friendly manner.

Obvious but good information so far
Only made it past the first few pages. Obvious but good information so far. There are so many wedding planning guides out there, but I think the best way to plan is with help of family, and friends who've walked down the marriage aisle before.

Take it or Leave it...
In my opinion, it isn't worth paying for this book--all the same information is available, for free, at wedding websites. I bought a ton of wedding books--and never used them becaue I had all I needed online for free. If you aren't a computer-y person, then go for it...but if you know how to browse websites, save your money for the centerpieces, photography, or other wedding detail.

Worth Purchasing
This book comprehensive, so it has some budget ideas that you've undoubtedly already thought of (invite fewer guest), and some that you would never want to do (cleanup your own reception), or probably can't pull off (do your own calligraphy). Yet, in the 1001 tips, you're sure to find a couple good ones. I've already saved the book's price several times over.

Pretty Useful
It had a lot of common sense "ways" to save money, but there were some good tips here or there.

Not as good as I had hoped
I purchased this book to help me plan my wedding. It was the first book I read on the subject, so I was really wanting something a bit more in depth. This book simply lists simple ideas that could easily be found in other books. I would recommend "Bridal Bargains" instead because the book is far more informative and gives you useful ideas and budgeting help.

Would be better if there was version that applied more to brides ...
A lot of helpful tips and advice. Would be better if there was version that applied more to brides outside of the U.S.
