- Prior to opening Bourgeois Baby, Jamie Bourgeois was a registered nurse and a nurse midwife in the Boston and Southern NH area for 14 years. Prompted by an extremely messy baby and the need for better bibs, Jamie designed the Original Bourgeois Baby Bib in early 2012. As it turned out, the need for practical but stylish baby accessories was universal. Now Jamie focuses full-time on stylish but practical infant and children's clothing, accessories, and necessities.
Russian nesting dolls, also called Matryoshka or Babushka dolls, were originally made in the 1890s. Made from wood, they were a staple of children's toy chests. They have recently made a comeback and we think they make a great bib design.
