Pure Genius!
I tried to use a cane with feet by putting both hands on the handle, but it was really awkward and not as sturdy as I wanted to feel safe. Then I saw this product and thought, "This is just what I need!" My progress after my femur break increased literally overnight!

INDISPENSIBLE Every Home Should Have 2
2022 08 15 Mon Review Amazon Rock Steady CaneINDISPENSIBLE—For EveryoneEvery home should own one or better, at least two, of these Rock Steady Canes (RSC). 61% of the several hundred reviews are 5-Star. I have spoken to the inventor/owner several times personally. HE ANSWERS THE PHONE as well as his friendly, knowledgeable staff of people working with him. My experience for this 5-star review has been over 6 months of actual use of the RSC in my own home. I have hit my 7th decade in life along with 2 knees and 2 hips needing replacement. I have gone from all sorts of “single pole” canes that fall over & do not begin to offer the stability & maneuverability of the RSC. The RSC itself is somewhat like a separated “walker”. The RSC fits in “tighter spaces” because it is separated into something similar to the single straight sides of a walker. Got a doorway that is” too narrow” for a walker? Got a non-linear angle of rising up & then stepping to a new area? Use a “RSC” that is made of aluminum. This petite 4” 11” woman can pick up & ROTATE (at any angle up to 360 degrees) with one wrist the direction in which I want to proceed. The combination of the “crossbar” below the top handle of the RSC means I can safely bend over & pick up something from the floor with zero fear of falling. Even if my own malady was a sprained ankle (something that can happen to a much younger person), the RSC would ensure safety from falling or tripping in one’s home. (Have never come close to tripping or falling with the RSC.) The footprint of the double “feet” of the RSC allows for it to be placed on the stair steps out & inside my home. I can “push” myself up or gently “allow myself down” with a much greater stability than a single pole cane permits. It is critical to our entire body that “we ambulate” and move to keep our entire body system “working”. It is unhealthy to sit/stay in bed for extended periods. Granted, with my current situation, I am not moving as quickly or as much as I know I will be after joint replacements. However, I AM moving, taking care of most of my needs by myself, & keeping my body as healthy as possible leading up to surgery. I am certain the RSC will assist me greatly in my recovery process. I have purchased 28 for this safety, health promoting, endeavor. In all ways, this investment is much better than possible institutionalized alternatives.

Can be very useful in small bathrooms.
I bought this cane after double knee replacement surgery. I never used it as a cane, so I am unable to give any pointers or experiences on that. I purchased it as a stability "bar" for getting in and out of our small stall shower. This fit in well between the toilet and shower stall wall. It can wobble, but still gave me a feeling of security stepping in and out of our shower. The way I was able to wedge it in (outside the shower), provided just enough stability to not fear slipping. I felt confident and comfortable using this instead of trying to figure out where we could install a convenient to use grab bar. I have been happy with our purchase, but it might not be right for everyone or every situation. The height is easily adjustable.

Great!
This cane is a game changer. It is so easy to use and makes standing up and walking very comfortable. Do not hesitate to buy one. No I’m not being compensated for writing this. Thanks so much to the inventor!

Wobbly and falls over easily for a standing cane.
Check the dimensions carefully, it's more narrow than it appears. While it has an adjustable height, the base is not stable because the two-pronged legs have a long side and a short side so the cane by default tries to tip towards the short side. It's stable when upright but if you push against it and have the short side out, it tips easily. You'd have to be mindful to always use it with the long side facing out but both sides look nearly the same so I think it would be trivial to use it 'wrong-way-out' by accident. It has a cross beam but still feels very wobbly and loose. If you bear downwards there's a lot of play in either direction because the adjustable feet don't fit very firmly. It's hard to imagine how a device like this would be useful for people that have knee weakness and would really need to put their weight on it. I thought this product was going to be the best of both a walker and a cane but it really isn't. The lack of stability just ruins the whole purpose and the wobbliness makes it feel cheap and unsafe.I was going to give this to my grandpa but I don't think it's safe at all to use. I'm currently using it to throw some quilts over the handle to keep them up off the ground and good for that I guess.I can't recommend this at all for a loved one -- if they need something more than a cane, just go for a walker. It's hugely overpriced for how little it delivers.

Shortened useful life by broken spring loaded lock/excellent seller response
Excellent for lightweight, portable walking assistance. I loved this cane purchased in September, 2021. So easy to put into and out of car without assistance. In May 2023 the spring loaded lock which stabilized the Rock Steady Cane broke, rendering it unusable. I wish the manufacturer would replace this product but I do not know how to contact them.________________________________________________________________________________________________update: The seller contacted me from this review. He paid for me to return the failed cane and gave me a refund of 25% of the cost of the replacement cane. I am happily enjoying my new Rock Steady Cane.Second Update: The replacement cane purchased 8 months ago experienced the identical spring loaded lock failure as the first cane. This is such a good and useful product, I wish the manufacturer would improve the durability of his product. 8 months is too short a useful life.
