My 4 year old was very excited about this before e received it from the youtube videos. He found it too doughy and played with it once. I would not buy it again.

crumby mess!
Terrible. I have played with moon dough before and enjoyed it, but this stuff was a crumby mess. I packed it back up shortly after opening it to send it back.

Good stuff if you know how to use it
We love moon dough! It is perfect when used as intended. We've had ours for about a year and a half now, and it does not crumble into pieces like everyone says IF you follow the directions and mold it properly to begin with. Depending on the age of you child, this will likely require some adult intervention. The dough requires warmth and pressure to take form, so you have to work it in your hands for awhile before it's ready to play with, but once you have a nice firm ball of it, you're good to go. My 4 year old loved it because it doesn't stick and jam up the molds the way playdough does. She will play with moon dough for over an hour, but usually gets frustrated with play dough after about 15 minutes. Moon dough was designed to be used with molds, and it works great for that purpose. My kids love that they can mold shapes and conitue to play with them or several days without the dough drying out. If you child likes to freelance and create their own shapes, you're probably better of with playdough, as it is more moldable in the bate hands than moon dough. The only reason I would not give this 5 stars is because of the price. This is the first time I have bought dough outside if a kit, and I expected the refill to cost maybe $3-$4.

Confetti
We like Play Doh but if it gets left out, it gets hard and then we have to throw it away. Moon Dough seemed like a good replacement because it never dries out.The packaging the moon dough comes makes a first time buyer think this stuff has substance (it seems heavy, I thought). Instead, it is rather light, like compressed cotton candy. Moon dough is so light and airy, it falls apart. It has so little cohesiveness that when played with, little pieces fall everywhere. Sure, this makes it easy to clean up, but at $5 for 1.5 ounces, this is a very expensive dough that lasts no more than 3-4 times out of its container and can't hold a shape.I'll stick with Play Doh at $0.98 for a 2 ounce can.

Not that bad!
My boys love this stuff! Its fun to squish together and feels really light and neat. It can be messy but cleanup is a breeze: just sweep anything on the table into the containers and wipe or vacuum whatever falls on the floor. Not nearly as messy as Moon Sand (which needs to be vacuumed off everything, including the kids clothing).

A Miserable Substitute
What a miserable substitute for the classic $2.50 Play-Doh. This stuff crumbles into a million pieces. You cannot model with it. It falls down the cracks of the table and it smells awful. So what if it never dries out? If your Play-Doh dries out, just buy some more and don't waste your time on this loser product. If your kid is gluten intolerant, then try Sawyer Dough. [...].
