For whatever reason one of my boys decided to try to "save" the spring that was "trapped" in the stapler. Needless to say, I had to replace the stapler after that stunt.This stapler is just as great as all of my other Swingline staplers we have owned over the years. It is DURABLE and works well. It opens up to staple things to a bulletin board, etc.I'm keeping this stapler out of the line of sight of the culprit who thought the spring was "trapped" in the other stapler. He gets an A+ for creativity, but has had to work off the cost of the new stapler.I forgave many other things that have been busted, but this time I told him he had extra chores to make up for it. He is now aware that before he feels the need to "rescue" anything again, he must ask ME first. LolGreat stapler.I WOULD purchase it again.

This stapler is great. It loads easily, is smooth to operate, feels solid and hasn’t jammed in the month we’ve had it under moderate use to include opened up for poster board stapling. It’s a little more money than some, but we got tired of the cheap ones that are flimsy and jam a lot. Recommend!

Swingline has always made a decent stapler, but this one is horrible. From the first day it jammed. We ordered Swingline staples which made no difference. Now we can't even get it to open when it jams. There is no staple jammed anywhere and it just won't function at all. That was a pure waste of money.

Why did I put up with my old stapler for too long? Because I did not know Swingline made such a fine, sturdy superior product. This stapler staples easily and cleanly with a light touch. I just stapled together 18 pages and the stapler stapled as neatly, cleanly and easily as if I were stapling 2 pages. I highly recommend this product.
