Totally Captivating
The history of Mundy's Landing returns to play a significant role in Book 2! The mystery of the Sleeping Beauty Murders plays out in this book, in which characters are trying to figure out the identity of the three young women found dead in three different homes in the early 1900s. The historical home of the main character this time, Annabelle, offers a clue. In addition, a time capsule that was sealed in the early 1900s is opened at the end of the book. Ora Abrams, the Historical Society curator, is also holding on to secrets. Meanwhile, a dangerous copycat killer is on the prowl, endangering the young women of Mundy's Landing in an effort to recreate the infamous Sleeping Beauty Murders! This one had a huge twist at the end that I was NOT expecting.

Good book
It kept me reading, but the wrap-up at the end didn't seem finished; left you hanging as to the killer's motive.

Good story but....
I have read a lot of Wendy Corsi Strain books , I like her writing but this one has to many switching back and forth from 100 yrs ago to present. Also pages and I do mean pages of italic writings from the killer that didn't make much sense to me. With saying that I did finish the book.

Murder is Afoot in Mundy's Landing
Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. The fictional town of Mundy's Landing is so realistic that it feels like someplace I've stopped during a road trip. The map in the front of the book was a great help at keeping my bearings as the story moved along. The story itself sent chills down my spine more than once. Not only was there a historical mystery to be solved, but a copycat plans the same thing under the noses of the Mundy's Landing residents. I was so sure I knew who did it right up to the end of the book but I fell for a red herring and the author managed to keep me in suspense.I really look forward to reading the next installment of this trilogy!

Good suspenseful read!
I've read many books by this author and always enjoyed them. I liked the style of writing going back to the past and then into the present. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is I felt like the ending was a little rushed. Other than that, another great read from Wendy!

Great suspense! This book seems to be the meat ...
Great suspense! This book seems to be the meat and potatoes between the previous one, Blood Red and the one that is coming up soon. This one somewhat solves the mystery of the SBK, but leaves a lot of loose ends that I hope will be tied up in the next thriller! Keep the thrillers coming, Wendy!

Three Stars
Love Wendy Corsi Staub but felt this wasn't one of her better efforts.
