Amazing
I absolutely love the Twisted Tales series. Aladdin is one of my favorites of the original Disney Classic cartoons. So I was afraid I would be disappointed by this book.Princess Jasmine has always been one of my favorite Disney Princesses. But I like this version of Jasmine even more. This book is action packed. There is a lot of tension and magic. Jafar basically becomes an evil dictator.A thoroughly enjoyable read for all ages.

If you're open to possibility
and not just looking for a typical Disney happy ending and are okay with changes to things from your childhood. This is definitely something to read. It throws enough of the nostalgia in but is twisted as it's the story of Jafar getting the lamp.

it was good
Good read, definitely a different story. I prefer the original but it was a whole new world. Read for yourself

didn't like the ending
It was really good. However, i was super confused on how Jafar was abIe to make the genie do all that stuff with out having to use a wish.I also wasn't a huge fan of the ending. I didn't like how genie lost his powers. I also didn't like how Aladdin had this "superior" moral high ground. Not just at the end but the whole book. At the end Jafar should have been killed. No trial was necessary. Jasmine was right, he would have escaped. She didn't kill him and that gave him the chance to take away All magic.

Step into a different world of Disney
This is a stand alone book series based off of various different animated Disney films. You don't have to read them in order because stand alone means they are completely separate stories that won't interrupt your enjoyment of the others. This one is about Aladdin

A good retelling. Don’t have to read in order.
I guess this is the very first book in the twisted series and I read it after like 5 others. Anyway, it starts as others do, close to the movie it’s based on. Then it diverts wildly. Jasmine has always been tougher than other princesses and in this book, she’s badass. Aladdin is kinda dumb. Like not lovesick dumb, just he’s all brawn and no brains. The ending was not expected. Yes, Aladdin and Jasmine end up together but the rest of the ending is kinda sad. Loved the different Street Rats and the whole city joining together. We really see a lot of Agrabah from the view of Aladdin and Jasmine. Jafar is an absolute nut case. He’s more twisted in this book than in the movie. Genie is still funny but I did feel like the author was trying to impersonate Robin Williams and laying it on too thick in some parts. Definitely recommend if you like fairytale retellings.

loving the story so far!
so the book came a bit damaged but that’s totally fine because I love the story so far!! my other review was deleted because supposedly you can’t “say the product is damaged” but yet they let us know before adding it to our cart that it’s indeed in a “good/damaged” condition? lol weird.
