I have a lot of old analog stereo gear and also play guitar through old tube amps. All those old pieces of equipment weren't designed in an era of WiFI and switching-power supplies so they aren't designed to be immune from those interferences. I've found that using these chokes on my audio cables, or the audio power cables, or the suspect interferer devices, can reduce or eliminate high-frequency whistles or statics that are ever-present in our modern homes.Note that these chokes do NOT eliminate low frequency Hum or Buzz noise. Those noises are usually from ground loops in your system or electro-magnetic interference from large iron/copper power transformers. These chokes are best for eliminating high-frequency whistles and WiFi/Cellular static noise in your gear.

As a ham operator, I need to insure a good clean signal both transmitting and receiving. I used to have odd noises and weird patterns on my computer monitor and rig. After I put these on every cable (power, audio, video, and coax) no more problems. Cheap fix for a hard to find problem.

I’m a ham radio operator and was having rf get into my mouse and keyboard. I used these with a few wraps around the filter and no more issues. It does what it says and works.
