Great product but pricing can use a lot of work.
The One Blade is a sensational razor. I use it as a regular razor and and can get close enough to where you feel smooth with no stubble. If I’ve been lazy and let my facial hair grow for over a week I just whisk it off with the One Blade as it has no problem cutting through larger growth. I do soak my face and whiskers with hot water first to soften the whiskers which helps the razor cut more easily. I’ve seen negative reviews regarding time of blade replacement and quality. I personally have not had these experiences but noticed a common denominator in a lot of the negative comments and a lot of people are using it on their heads to cut hair. It may not be designed for that as it takes large, bulky clippers to trim hair much less cut it. I’ve had no issues and would recommend this to anyone. Yes, the replacement blades are very expensive but which blades aren’t for all high end blade razors. It’s been a known fact that the razor manufacturers have always greatly inflated the price of personal care items; especially razors. It’s an even bigger problem with women’s razors compared to men’s. They sell the exact same razor, identical, to women but it’s pink or a pastel color. Since the razor is pink they charge $3 more for the EXACT same razor. As with all personal care items if the packaging is blue or grey it’s cheaper than the pink or lavender packaging because they take advantage of women’s intelligence. In the case of the One Blade they’ve made a product most guys fall in love with but charge a fortune to keep using it in the blade price. I can’t speak to the quality of the refill blades yet as I haven’t used them but I’d imagine they’re the same as what you get with the razor when purchased new. Don’t let negative reviews sway you as there is always a small percentage who will have legitimate problems or you can’t make happy no matter what you do. Negativity is a killer.

If you hate shaving, buy these.
I hate shaving. I have always hated shaving. I will always hate shaving. I hate it so much I just gave up and grew a beard. But the only thing worse than shaving my entire face is having a neck beard. A couple years ago I bought the Philips OneBlade razor, and it changed my life. Okay, it's not that great, but it's pretty awesome. I have a crazy thick beard, and it needs to be trimmed and cleaned up a couple times a week. These OneBlade blades are the best things ever. They are easily strong enough to do a basic trim, and they last forever. I've kept mine WAY past the recommended replacement time, and they still do the job just fine.Sure they don't get as close as a more traditional razor, but they also don't tear up your face. The OneBlade system is portable, easy to use, easy to recharge, and these blades pop right on and off. Overall, highly recommended for guys who need a beard trimmer.

Excellent Razor for Those Who don't Want/Need the Close Shave of a Manual Blade
I received this the Philips OneBlade as a 2017 Christmas Gift and have been using it ever since. My previously razors are a Philips Multi Groom (top of the line) and a top of the line Wahl. Because of it’s weight the Wahl was/is lightly used.Initial impression:Very light and small head size provides better maneuverability for improved detailing. Early shaves were closer than either of the above electric razors ever did.1st use 12/26/17.I shave 3 x a week. I have a goatee (beard/mustache) & a balding head. The 3rd shave of the week includes my balding skull. To test the endurance of the 1st blade I used it until I could not do so without exceptional discomfort. So it lasted 70 days or 23 shaves. This disappointed me as it is much less than Philips advertises.Installed 1st replacement blade on 3/7/18:This blade never shaved as close as the original blade. After 40 calendar days the blade actually nicked me causing a slight bleeding. I decided to continue use any way. I discontinued using this 1st replacement blade after my full shave on 6/9/18. So calendar wise this is after 95 days and 41 shaves. So while the 1st replacement blade was not providing the initial smooth shave the original blade did, it delivered more acceptable shaves.Installed the 2nd replacement blade 6/11/18:Initial shave with this 2nd OneBlade replacement blade was generally very smooth and close much like the original blade in the new OneBlade razor. The 2nd replacement blade did nick my face one time on it’s 1st use causing a slight bleeding. (Based on this and the 1st replacement blade similarly having nicked me a word of warning: my face has scars and I think the rectangular OneBlade blade design with the rather sharp corners allows a corner of the blade to catch on a raised skin tissue in a way that can produce a nicked skin. The use directions do state to maintain the flat side of the blade in contact with your skin and use long slow back and forth strokes with the blade. It is a possible I am not doing this on every stroke. However, I think Philips should have designed the blade with much more rounded corners.) After only 6 shaves with the 2nd replacement the blade’s usage indicator has raggedly peeled off by about 15% leaving behind a visible shiny area.By mid August he usage strip was about 85% gone but I can not say it’s loss affected the quality of the shave. Through December 11th there have been 116 shaves with this blade!! If only the preceding blades had given me this service I would be ecstatic!Summary:My initial impression above still holds. The OneBlade is physically much easier to use which I attribute to it’s light weight, small blade and overall small size that fits my hand well (wide palm, short fingers). I am disappointed in the inconsistent blade usage life & quality. There certainly seems to be a lot of room in which to improve the blade manufacturing process. I do and have recommended the OneBlade razor with the only caveats being their cost of the replacement blades and their inconsistent quality. I expect to continue using this razor.

Never anything else invented that works better!
These are the best razor blades. I have shaved for over 50 years using many different products. Using the one blade product, I no longer get trapped hairs. I am so impressed with this razor blade. I whole heartedly recommend it.
