So, the world of mustache waxes is rather convoluted. There are so many brands with so many claims and there is NO standardization of features. For example, literally any of them can claim "strong hold" and VERY few of them actually deliver on that particular claim. Because of the disparity in feature claims and delivery and the hazy definitions of the features to begin with I think you have to review mustache wax in a comparative manner.First, it does have a gentle aroma of basil and mint. That's important to note since many claim particular fragrances that you are entirely unable to smell. The fragrance is fairly light and not particularly noticeable after an hour or two but it is fairly pleasant when you first put it on.After fragrance we get to the more important question, how does it work? I would consider this wax a truly "strong hold". Therin lies its greatest strength and drawback. Yes, when I do a good job applying it I can expect a good 6-8 hours of hold without having to groom at my mustache. It just holds its original placement. That strong hold comes at a price, though. It's more difficult to work.The hold of the vast majority of moustache waxes depends on one factor: how hard is the wax? If the wax is soft and easy to work the hold will not be strong. If it is hard and requires you to heat it up to even dream of applying it the hold will be a strong one. This wax is too physically hard for me to apply without first heating it up. I use a hair dryer for about a minute. That means I get a great, strong, long hold but it also makes the wax inconvenient to use. It adds time & difficulty to the morning application and it means I can't just carry the can in my pocket for touch ups (I could but how convenient would it be to have to pull it out & find a way to heat it up to make it workable).It's a good mustache wax but there is a tradeoff. It simply depends on your application and preference. I do HVAC and there is no guarantee I won't need a touch up during the day, even with this product's excellent hold. After a couple hours in a 135 degree attic, rolling around in a tight crawl space or just a 13 hour day I may need to touch up my stache which is problematic. I also don't particularly care for the extra effort of the initial application. Instead, I find myself using a softer wax with an inferior hold. It's workable at body temperature and touch ups are easy (if quite frequent) during the day by pulling the can out of my pocket. If you work 8 hour days or spend your time in an office this product may be your perfect wax.

Pleasant aroma. So thick and heavy, though, it's a challenge to apply.

My husband didn't much care for this brand.

Great wax and very nice fragrance. The hold is very strong and works great on a handlebar curl!
