*** This is an updated Review ***I want to add to the review below, now that I've owned the mattress for a year. It was an utter waste of money. I wish I had returned it as soon as I noticed the middle start to sag within a week of getting it. The hole in the middle of the mattress is no so bad it needs to be replaced... all in less than a year. I'm rethinking my reluctance to buy online, but only because of Amazon's superior customer service. I will ensure for the next purchase that I have the ability to return a defective product before buying. I had the chance a year ago, and should have done it... Shame on me.ORIGINAL REVIEW:A couple of years ago I took a risk and bought a mattress through Amazon. It was a great experience... low price, free shipping and great mattress. So, when bursting frozen pipes in the unit above me caused flooding that put me in the market for a new mattress, I had no qualms about ordering again through Amazon.If you've shopped for bedding you are no doubt familiar with the difficulty in comparing prices and models... different sellers have different names for almost identical mattresses and the prices fluctuate wildly. Finding and comparing specifications is the best we can do. Well, a search for the same style I purchased two years ago was fruitless, but I was able to match it's specifications to the BeautyRest Recharge model. I bought it, had it delivered and am using it, but I am VERY disappointed.Although the mattress is comfortable, within the first couple of weeks it developed a sagging pit in the middle. No matter which side you sleep on, the tendency is for the mattress to suck you into the middle. It's made me believe that the "recharge" refers to the possibility of it being refurbished... the Simmons site says no, but I wouldn't be surprised if an unscrupulous seller has substituted a re-manufactured product.So, for the moment I am suffering through the mattress, trying to get a little use out of it before I head out in another attempt to try to find a decent price on a decent product. I'm not looking forward to it as it's almost as bad as car shopping. I guess that sums up my biggest disappointment with this purchase... the lack of trust in buying a mattress online.

So, my husband is a fan of pillow top mattresses. He claims this one is very comfortable. I would have preferred a firm or extra firm, but oh well. My main problem with this mattress is that, like another reviewer posted, it is in fact 2-3 inches shorter than a standard King mattress is supposed to be. My husband and I aren't particularly tall, so this isn't the biggest deal, but there is a silly=looking gap between the foot of the mattress and our foot board, which annoys me.Also, this company took a lot longer than originally stated to deliver this mattress. The first time they tried to deliver it they loaded the wrong one on the truck, so we had to wait another two days for it. Maybe this isn't a big deal for others, but we had just moved cross-continent and did not bring our old mattress with us, so two more days on an air mattress was not pleasant.

This Mattress is one of the most comfortable ones that I have slept on. 3 years ago I gave up my waterbed due to medical reasons. Since doing so I have not slept thru the night and was having pain in my back and shoulders. Since buying this Mattress I have slept thru the night with no pains. My Mother who suffers from Fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis took a nap on our bed since getting this and when she got up she had us order her one.

THE most comfortable mattress ever!!! We went through traditional inner spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses and nothing, nothing could give me a less painful nights sleep. Until we got this Beautyrest! The separate pocket coils make ALL the difference in the world for someone with herniated discs and SI joint disfunction. If you have trouble with your back, GET THIS MATTRESS!!!

I was very pleased with the Beautyrest Recharge mattress. It was a little firmer than I expected. However, it sleeps well.

so firm yet just enough cush, love it, amazing price! Highly reccomended this top of line matress, you can try it inthe store first, it will be about $2,300.00

Horrible mattress!!! Don't waste your time or money!

Complete waste of money!I should not have to replace my mattress after little over two years. The sagging just became unbearable and no amount of rotating the mattress could ever make up for it. My back feels horrible in the morning and all support seems to have just vanished. This mattress feels really great in the store and for the first few months, but don't be fooled by it. It is not durable and you'll end up not just spending more, but also aching all over.I think Simmons may pay high commissions to sales-people for selling these to customers. Originally, I was looking in a significantly higher price-range, but the sales person at one of the major mattress retailers convinced me that this was much better than anything in that higher price range.
