Instant purchase
One of the best matchas I’ve ever bought on Amazon, and somehow crazy affordable. Bright green, smooth, rich flavor, no bitterness, and mixes beautifully. Immediate repurchase status. If you’re picky about your matcha (like I am), this one punches way above its price point. No clumps, no grassy dirt flavor, just good vibes and good energy. A staple in my cabinet now.

ITS FANTASTIC 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍
this matcha is actually fantastic. insanely good value for 30g. this is a great daily matcha for my matcha lovers. obviously a bougie brand like rocky’s or ippodo is gonna be more luxurious but if you are having a latte this stuff is AMAZING. it’s so bright green, has a strong floral smell, and doesn’t taste vegetal. definitely sift it before use (like you should with all matcha) and you’ll love. i use 1 heaping tsp of this stuff, 2 tsp of vanilla syrup, and 1 cup of steamed oatmilk and it’s so good

Perfect taste, amazing feeling, arrived in TWO DAYS, worth EVERY penny
I have never written a review on Amazon before, that's how much I love this matcha. I purchased a tin (and it arrived in two days with free shipping!!) and it was SO GOOD I had to restrain myself from making some every 47 minutes. Despite my best efforts, I consumed the entire tin in 8 days. When making my matcha the morning of Day 8 I literally took my finger and scraped the tin clean like a junkie licking a dime bag. Luckily, on Day 6 I had ordered more (multiple tins at once this time) so by the afternoon of Day 8, I was all stocked up again. Yeah. It's that good. And it's not only that the taste is delicious--creamy, nutty, earthiness with not a hint of bitterness, with a sweet smell that hits you as soon as you open the tin--it's how drinking it makes me feel. I've been a coffee drinker my entire life, so caffeine and me are VERY intimate. (And I've also experimented with plenty of different matchas before, and none were anything special.) I know exactly what type and provenance of beans, brewing method, and method of consumption will produce what kind of effect. Even with the most ideal combination (for my body) of all of these elements, I have never felt anywhere close to the quality of energy drinking this matcha has for me. Nothing even approaching jitters, no nervous system effects, no anxiety, no headaches, no strung out, overcaffeinated feeling, just a pure beam of focused energy. And yet somehow, it also chills me out and relaxes me completely (like, literally my resting heart rate will go down after drinking it), while giving me focused energy......?! It goes against everything I thought I knew about caffeine consumption.BUT I haven't even told you the best part about this matcha, and the reason that pushed me over the edge to deciding I HAD to write a review. In addition to a pure beam of focused energy and a complete feeling of Zen, drinking this matcha makes me feel positively JOYOUS. It is literally an instant antidepressant. Now I don't know about you, but with the world the way it is right now, this effect is unbelievably valuable. If people knew there was an alternative to putting pharmaceutical grade mystery chemicals into their bodies just to be able to get through the day, a whole lot of people would be putting aside their zoloft for good. I know I will be.Thanks for everything, Pure Matcha. <3

Fresh, and deliciously smooth
I've tried several brands of matcha tea in the U.S., and this is among those that come closest to the taste I enjoyed in Japan. This matcha mixes well (as others have noted, a bamboo whisk is a necessity... honest!) and doesn't have a trace of bitterness in it; it's absolutely a pleasure to drink just straight with near-boiling water (no sweeteners or milk needed, IMHO). And it's a wonderful start to the morning, and just 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of this in the morning is enough to keep me alert and energetic all day :).Yes, it's expensive, but it's still way cheaper than a largely-artificial Starbucks matcha, for instance, or probably even your typical (and probably much-less healthy) "energy shake" / "breakfast bar."Lastly, just a couple of key reminders on preparing matcha tea (including this one!) in the best way:- Error on the side of using less-hot water. I've had great results getting water to a light boil, then letting it sit for a minute or so before pouring into the matcha bowl, swishing it around for a few seconds, then adding the matcha powder. Remember -- if the water is too hot, you risk having overpowering-strong & potentially bitter matcha :\. Worst case of not-hot-enough: slightly weaker but still nicely smooth and sweet matcha- Don't store matcha in your refrigerator door, where the temperature isn't as cool as the inner part of the fridge.- Don't expect it to be super-fresh months out.Hope this helps, and enjoy your matcha :-)

Good tea for the price--on 4th tin!
I really enjoy the small tin this comes in--doesn't take up much space and if you really want you can repurpose it after using all the matcha up. I'm on my 4th tin of this stuff and have consistently enjoyed it. Some folks have mentioned that it kind of clumps up, and that's because of how finely it's ground. The clumps aren't really dense, it seems like it's just a little ball of powder held together by static or something. Touch it with a toothpick and it falls right apart. The tea has a really great taste. I haven't registered as bitter...occasionally if I use extra powder I'd say it has a bit of a grassy taste. But it seems high quality for the price.Since it's real matcha and not an instant mix, you do need to take the time to mix this well. What I've found to work for me is putting a teaspoon or so in a 16oz closable thermal bottle (I use the Tiger MMJ-A048, but there are a lot out there). I add a couple ice cubes, fill it with water, and shake away! After about 10 seconds of good shaking, I have 16oz of perfectly blended cold matcha tea to take with me and sip throughout the morning. Occasionally I'll throw some honey in there if I want to sweeten it up a bit. Don't try this with hot water, if you didn't know that already. If you want hot tea, I'd mix that up outside of the thermal and pour it in once it's all blended.
