Very useful
I bought this for My Sister who was visiting from England ( She took it back with Her). She is Diabetic and the covers, when they touch Her toes bother Her.She said, She hasn't slept this good in over 10 years & I should have gotten this for Her 20yrs ago.I am a little OCD & the Only down side I think to it is, You cant make a nice flat bed in the morning. Unless You keep removing it & inserting back under the mattress, every night. It's easy to do, but I still think it would be too much trouble every day. It's very sturdy, a bit on the heavy side. Folds flat for storage.

Buyer beware, doesn't fit all mattresses
I purchase this cradle in early October, anticipating an early December foot surgery. Unfortunately, I didn't get it set up on my bed until right before surgery - when I discovered that if you have a thick mattress, the clearance between the cradle and a normal adult male foot (size 12) is too low, too much chance of hitting it with my post-surgical foot. And now it's also too late to return it under Amazon's policy and the manufacturer won't take it back either because I bought it through Amazon. So...buyer beware!

Solid, Simple and very useful for comfortable sleeping
My mattress is 10" tall and thats puts my feet right under the blanket so no problem for me however, if you have size 12 shoe or larger (and a 10" tall mattress) your feet might touch the blankets. The only issue i ran into was that it extended too far towards the front of the bed and my shins would bang into it from time to time (maybe not a problem for someone under 5'5"). So i took a hacksaw and cut 6" of length off of the upper cradle and that made it a perfect fit (i can attest to it being strong metal since it took a little work to cut through it with a hacksaw). An alternative is just dont push it entirely under the mattress. If you decide to cut yours, make sure you have a small file handy as you will need to smooth out the cuts in order to get it back together (tight fit which is good). But after all that, it works just fine (bought a 2nd one so that the blankets are lifted up over the full width of the bed).

It comes apart easily when in use and can be very dangerous if trying to put together as instructed on a wood floor. I went head first into the wall. There needs to be some way for it to lock in place because it can come apart when in use causing a problem and then you have to get out of bed and take it all out, etc. I ordered the more expensive model since itseemed more sturdy to hold up the covers, but would not spend the extra $ again since it falls apart easily, not worth it.

So close, but…
I wish I could write a more positive review, because this product is almost very good. It's extremely sturdy, and it creates a big space under the blankets for my injured foot (Unlike another product that I bought that only had a single bar sticking up, and which created almost no lift for my blanket). The problem is, I have a relatively thick mattress, and the clearance is just not enough. My feet frequently bump up against the metal cage, and because I'm supposed to be keeping my foot elevated, the problem is worse. If I have a pillow under my foot there is no room underneath, and both the metal bar and the blanket are in contact with my foot. If there were a taller version of this product, I would buy it in a heartbeat. As it stands, I'm trying to make it work, but it's not an ideal solution.

Sturdy and Functional
This is easy to assemble and very sturdy. I've been using it for several weeks with no problems. And it does what it's made for - it keeps the bed covers off my neuropathic foot. I chose this model because of its portability and comments that it was a well-made product. It will be easy to take with me when I stay overnight away from home.

Excellent relief for hot sensitive feet.
This was an excellent choice for my 95-year-old mother who has peripheral neuropathy in her feet and they get hot and sensitive under the covers at night. The device is sturdy and well made, and easy to assemble and slide between the mattress and box spring. There is plenty of room for her feet and she puts an ice pack in there as well so the whole area under the covers is cool and comfortable all night long.
