I don't know where this stuff has been all my life! I'm 55 and had dogs since I was 6. This is better than any antibiotic ointment ever. It heals faster than anything I've ever used. It has pain relievers as well. And I think it smells very good, not sure if it's the tea tree, thyme or clove but I love it! A little goes a longgggg way. I've used it on wounds, cracked elbows and raw spots on noses. I'm not sure why it says not for human use, I'm guessing it's an FDA thing. I've used it on myself without any problems and will continue to do so. Anyway buy this stuff!!!

My dog is a boxer mix, and he has terrible skin allergies. Sometimes he scratches himself raw, and he also chews his paws. He's currently on immune therapy and we've tried different remedies with little success. Probiotics, Anti-fungal cream, steroids orally from the vet, fish oil, and ketoconazole shampoo. Frequent baths help the most. But this Sulphodene ointment provides him relief when the itching gets bad. It allows him, and us to sleep. His bed is right next to ours. I like that it's thick and stays on. The scent is pleasant to me. Sort of like menthol. I don't know what the dog thinks of the smell, but he doesn't seem to mind. I've bought several tubes. It's easy to store, and easy to dispense, except for the very last of it. I roll up the tube as I go. It's a very good value. Not very expensive, and worth the money.

My dog was having a hot spot flare up and no joke, this deterred his scratching and healed it up in two days. Amazing stuff that I will keep around from now on.

I actually work in the veterinary field. I was looking for a cheaper and effective product for my dog. She’s a coonhound and gets moist areas under her lips. I clean the area well and apply a thin layer of this to the affected areas. It works very well. It does have a slight smell to it. I must like an antiseptic or Band-Aid. She does not seem bothered when I apply it. The consistency is that of like A & D ointment.

This products is AMAZING! We have a pitbull that has so many skin problems. We buy her special food and end up taking her to the vet frequently. Most recently she started limping and we realized she had licked her paw raw. We usually rush her to the vet but I hate to say it, it gets so expensive. Instead I rushed to Amazon and came across this product and read the reviews. I ordered it and had it delivered the same day.WOW! I always recommend taking your animal to the vet if they have a wound but I will say that using this product saved us from another expensive vet visit.I put it on her paw and between her “toes” where she had licked herself raw from her allergies at night when we received the product and by morning the redness had subsided and she was putting weight back on her leg. I highly recommend this product to soothe and heal. It’s a miracle product as others have said. I have been using it daily on our girl to give her relief.

Product worked for what we needed. Was easy to apply. Didn't have any weird smells. It didn't seem to irritate, burn or bother my pup.

Product works okay

This stuff is amazing! I bought it for my big dog who was getting hot spots between his toes. I put it on before bed and then put a doggie shoe on his foot so he would leave it alone. The hot spots were 90% gone overnight, I kept putting it on for three days or so and he was completely better. Several months later we got a puppy, the puppy got a scratch on his belly running through some sticks, he wouldn’t leave the scratch alone and made a bigger irritated area licking at it. Put this cream on the area and it was completely healed overnight, scratch and all.
