Story and Review of My Favorite T-Shirt Ever!
The first American Apparel t-shirt I ever bought was this same one at a resale shop in St. Louis, MO (electric blue color). It quickly became my favorite T-shirt ever! I wore it on dates, hiking, in the woods, restaurants, working out, everywhere and everything! It was so versatile and the color was so vivid - it was different from any other T-shirt I owned, and it was hands down the most comfiest! It fit me really well too, in the right places (back then 5,7”, 115lbs, smaller bust, usually xs-s). I’ve only ever been to Chicago twice, and on my second trip I knew there was an AP store. Even though my first AP T-shirt from the resale shop was holding up amazingly (the exact one I speak of was and still is(!) worn at least once a week in rotation with the others), I decided to go ahead and look for another one just in case something happened to my beloved original (and I could wear one while washing the other). I looked around for this style in the store but I couldn’t find it. It was really hard to tell the difference in styles from my first one to the other AP tshirts... I had really just stumbled upon my first one. So that day I did get another AP T-shirt, and even though both tshirts are amazing and the same size (small), the new one was a little bigger and stretchier - definitely not the same tshirt, not the silhouette when wearing it - but it was still comfortable and one of my top favorite tshirts. Maybe a few weeks later AP came out saying they were closing all their stores down and I was devastated! I freaked out that I’d never be able to get another T-shirt like my original one! So I compared the tags of these first two tshirts, and I bought 2 more of my favorite original one from the AP website (a big deal for me back then because I was making less money and I don’t think I have ever bought two or more of the same exact tshirts, then or now!). I also bought another AP T-shirt that was solid navy with white trim on the neck and sleeves - not my favorite T-shirt but I think it might be the color because the fit is fine. At this point I had 3 of the exact same AP tshirts (2 electric blues, 1 yellow) and 2 other AP tshirts in different styles. So this style is still my favorite AP T-shirt. Even after all these years of wear and tear they look and feel the exact same as the day I bought them. I did see some people say this AP T-shirt style is on the small side and doesn’t have stretch to it, and this is true. It definitely will not fit you if you gain the slightest amount of weight (as I learned while I was pregnant) and if you go with your regular size then just know it’s going to accentuate your body (boobs, fat rolls, and all!). It’s probably ok to order a size up if you’re worried! So I went to the AP website a week or so ago and I learned the AP’s rushers could be bought through Amazon - nice move AP (How did you know it’s wayyy too easy for me to buy things off Amazon!!). Well I now have a grey in this AP T-shirt and couldn’t be happier! :) I’m probably going to get another one soon in white but try a medium out (I’m about 130-135lbs now) to mix things up!! Lol.

Order up! It loses 2 inches in every direction after washing.
Extra large leaves a little extra room for a 36D after washing. It was 24 inches long front collar to hem, 18 inches underarm to underarm, and 16.5 inches across the shoulder pre-washing, 22 inches long, 17 inches underarm to underarm and 15 inches across the shoulder after washing on a normal cycle, warm, with normal drying.(Note that the underarm measurement means it lost 2 inches around, since the fabric is doubled there.)Fine, because I ordered an extra large and when it arrived I was worried it would end up too much like a tunic for my taste when I first looked at it. After washing it fit perfectly.

Wrinkles a little
This top fits very well, and I am most pleased with that aspect of this order. The material is also nice, and the quality of workmanship up to Nautica's fine standards. I was a bit disappointed after the first washing to see that this fabric wrinkles a bit, and as a result will require some pressing. With "jersey" in the title, I expected it to be more wrinkle-free. Overall, this top exceeded three others I purchased locally that didn't fit nearly as well

Runs very small
The armholes are so small that my underarms ached by the end of the day. (My standard size is extra small.) I hand washed and line dried the shirt. Definitely would not put this shirt in the dryer. The material is nice, though, so I’d recommend going up two sizes.

Not sure I understand..
I am a solid size 12 and ordered an XL. I opened the package..the shirt said XL on the tag but I would need to lose at least 35 lbs to fit into it. This is not good sizing.

Definitely on the smaller side
After reading reviews I sized up one. I probably should’ve sized up 2 sizes, but it still fits me well enough to wear comfortably, but is snug. I’m normally L-XL and purchased a 2XL for reference.

Brown shirt
Super comfortable. True to it’s size. I am 5’5” 120 lbs and I love how it fits. Not too tight only on the right places. I got a medium. It’s soft and comfy.

too small
I was disappointed with this shirt. I ordered a medium, which is usually roomy enough. But this shirt is very small and tight. It seems to have shrunk, even after I washed it in cold water and hung it to air dry.
