An excellent buy
I picked this up because of the great reviews online on Lamy Safari’s (Also, I wanted to see if there was any truth in the ‘German Precision’ theory). I wanted a lightweight pen for my daily use, as I did not appreciate the heavier pens tugging down the pocket of my shirt (I was using a Parker, and the reason I did not pick up the pilot metropolitan).I bought the Umbra (umber) version, I liked the matte black finish on the body and nib. I thought it might look tacky, being wholly made out of plastic, but it doesn’t. I picked the ‘Fine’ nib as I often write on cheaper paper (not meant for fountain pen use, my Parker ‘medium’ nib would always spread and appear on the opp. side). I expected the fine nib to be a little scratchy (that is what I had read), but it is super smooth to write. The Cons,The Seller : The converter provided is not the ‘Z28’ as described, but the ‘Z26’ (the difference being that there are no stubs to prevent it from rotating while turning the piston, so I have to hold the converter while filling ink). The Manufacturer : The whole of the nib needs to be dipped into the ink for the piston filler to work, causing ink to stain the body of the pen (which I then have to clean), this is unlike my Sheaffer or Parker, which needs me to only dip half the nib in.The pen came in a ‘Lamy’ box (Though not the ones usually seen on the unboxing videos on YouTube). However, it did come with a warranty card, and the pen itself seems genuine (I watched a few videos on how to spot a fake). There was a single Blue ink cartridge, pre-loaded in typical Lamy fashion, with the converter placed next to the pen in the box.

German Engineering at it's best
It's very smooth and totally worth your money. But be sure to remember that Lamy cap seal isn't strong so it may dry out when not used for long periods.

Blatant… nothing to be a ₹3000 pen
Waste of money… there’s nothing in this pen to be a pen of ₹3000… a cheap feel plastic body and a normal writing feel… i dont know why this pen is priced at 3000… mediocre look, light weight, etc etc just like any other 100-500 pens… it just has the brand name and nothing else

So smooth!
I decided to order this fountain pen after reading reviews online. The first one was scratchy and ink flow was intermittent. Then I requested replacement. Although it took some time, the replacement works like a charm. Very smooth. I am not so happy with the cartridge ink though as it is so light. I will need to buy separately.

Great creation
This pen was on my list for quite some time. Finally I bought it. The quality of the plastic and design is really good. The ergonomic grip of the pen really helps you to write effortlessly. And finally the nib and writing experience is extremely good. It really write like Mukhhan...very smooth, clear and fast. I am using parker ink...but still it is good.Highly recommended. Worth investing. Value for money.
