Counters, Costumes & Caring
I used this to run a heat barrier around my Caesarstone countertop edge, in which a gas cooktop sits. It was easy to use and has terrific adhesive. I reckon that's all I got to say about it. I gave it 4 stars because the caption for 4 stars reads, "I like it!" and 5 stars read, "I love it!" Since, it's Aluminum Foil Tape and not a bear cub or new set of irons, I stuck with 4 stars. I mean, seriously, how can you love foil tape. I suspect even the people that invented this stuff don't necessarily "love" foil tape. It provided them with a decent income to support and feed their family and that is where the admiration logically, would end. Like. Not, love. So, 4 stars. Nothing personal. It's also shiny, so that is fun. I bet you can make a pretty sweet Tinman costume out of this stuff. Just don't go out in a lightning storm with the costume on or, hoo-boy, you'd be asking for a pretty hefty "how's your father!" In summation, the foil tape is protecting the Caeserstone, it would probably be fun during Halloween, as long as the forecast is clear and it is not deserving of the type of affection I save for most animals and few-to-several people.

The foil tape has a strong adhesive and seems like it will stay put and provide a good seal ...
Bought this when an energy analysis by my utility provider suggested sealing all the junctions in my ductwork with aluminum tape. This seemed to fit the description. I spent 2 weekends getting the project done. Some areas were tricky and awkward but overall, I think this tape works well. I think I should have ordered a slightly wider tape for some areas. The hardest part is getting the backing off of the tape but I used a trick learned from applying window film where you also have to peel the backing off. I applied a small piece transparent tape to both the backing and to the aluminum so that the pieces of tape extended beyond the piece of foil tape and then pulled the two tapes apart. The foil tape has a strong adhesive and seems like it will stay put and provide a good seal for years to come.

Excellent foil tape
This really is the stuff. I had gotten used to the surprisingly good aluminum foil tape from Harbor Freight but ran out. I picked up a roll of very disappointing tape locally (Nashua, normally a good brand), and quickly set out to find a great performer from Amazon. This XFasten tape is thick, strong, and behaves properly, by which I'm meaning how it tears or cuts (feels solid, tears more or less evenly by hand) and how it behaves when unspooling it from its backing (holds tightly, doesn't re-adhere to itself, on and on). The edges seal tightly and stay sealed, and its adhesive is quite sticky (as it should be). I'm thoroughly pleased with this tape and would gladly re-order if I were to run out again. I found no drawbacks to it whatsoever, except that the roll doesn't magically refill itself overnight.

Worth it
I needed this tape because I tried using regular duct tape on a portable a/c and the duct tape kept coming off because it was sticking to the heat exhaust. This tape worked like a charm. I put multiple layers because itโs very humid where Iโm at and it still hasnโt came off. Iโm so glad I bought this tape. The only bad side is that itโs very tough to pull the non-sticky side apart and I kept getting little cuts on my fingers but itโs okay. Definitely worth it

It is sticky
Moving it not so much and it rips easy if you pull to straighten out. I found it was a pain in tight situations. But it is sticky, we will see how long it lasts.

The foil tape worked effectively for what I needed. ...
The foil tape worked effectively for what I needed. After replacing my carpet with hardwood flooring, I realized that the floor ductwork was so poorly installed... I was not experiencing enough airflow (heat and A/C). Even after getting new floor vent covers, I realized I the flow of air (heating/cooling) was low, so I used the foil tape to seal off any gaps on the inside of the duct (between the new flooring and duct opening). I could definitely feel the difference in the volume of air flowing through my floor vents. the tape held extremely well.

This is a notice to all creative thinkers! Welcome to the world of metalworking without fire! Yes, you can now have a hand at it in the safety of your home and create whatever amazing wonders your heart desires. From recycled lightbulbs transformed into steampunked airships to cardstock turned into metal jewelry, there are no limits! PHOTOS: Examples of me playing with the tape used on cardstock and used black acrylic over it after so the embossing details would pop more. My next project? I'm going to create hand embossed medallions to put on etched beer steins.

Awesome Product / Fantastic Service
I used as a rocker panel hole patch... Worked properly and while I wouldn't kick that spot, it seems very sturdy and solid.
