Adequately accomplishes purpose: a protective layer between face and table. However, when I had a cold recently, I tried it myself and had less than satisfactory result. I was already a mess, with snot literally dripping off the tip of my nose and down my lip admittedly. I did the common sense thing and reached for the face paper to clean up. When I flew my nose it was like someone backed up and dumped a massive load of hot snot in the paper. Strangely pleased with myself, my smugness quickly vanished when I did the post-blow wipe up. Rather than neatly and tidily swabbing up the remains of the shimmering snot, the waxy paper smeared green goo allover my nose, upper lip and even up into my left eye. It was HORRIBLE. Remembering the grade-school fire drills, I immediately "stopped, dropped, and rolled" attempting to smear the mess on our Berber carpet. This is when I caused rug burns all over my face that I am still working with with salves and creams.Buyer beware!
