These drills are designed for high production drilling on a wide range of materials and will perform well under various operating conditions. They are furnished with a nitrate black finish for increased abrasion resistance and extra long life. Drills are manufactured to ISO standards. A note about the switch from a steel index to a plastic one: We were skeptical when we first heard our supplier was switching to a plastic index, but when we saw it we realized it is actually an improvement. The new index has a nice sliding lock, it's size markings are much clearer, the drills are easier to remove and replace and it is very durable. The bottom line is we would have switched suppliers if we didn't think this was an improvement, and we feel you will be happy with it.
