Piano Student: Level 1 (David Carr Glover Piano Library) Paperback – March 1, 1985

When I decided to start playing piano again after many decades' lapse, I wanted my old Glover books so I could play something I recognized, including my first recital piece. In addition to liking them for the sake of nostalgia, these books have been great for me to relearn the basics. They progress gradually so I never feel overwhelmed which has turned out to be important to help me from getting frustrated or discouraged. I've bought the whole set and gladly recommend them to anyone wanting to brush up piano skills.

I have been using this piano method for many, many years. Now, during the Pandemic, I have used it again (successfully) to teach my 7 year old granddaughter piano via FaceTime. I high recommend the Glover books - make sure you get the Primer Christmas Book for your new students!

Piano Student is required in my piano curriculum. David Carr Glover has great arrangements that I love for my students. Am extremely pleased with this book.

This is a great sequential level 1 piano program. I would recommend it to others.

My nephew decided he wanted to play the piano so I bought him this book. He took to the piano like a natural. The book was in top shape and arrived early. He liked it so much I had to buy level 2. He is playing like a pro.

I love the way this method teaches the notes on the grand staff/keyboard and not just the finger numbers... I can't tell you how many times I have to remind my students to look at the notes not just the number when they've been taught from other methods!
