I wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never used anything like this before, just conventional foams/gels.Firstly, it has a really nice smell, reminded me of hair gels from a few years ago (90s when I had all my hair). As this doesn't foam up, it's ideal for someone like me who uses a razor on my head and doesn't want to miss a bit to then have to go back over. Lubricated the areas to be shaved nicely and the razor just glided. Only need a small amount, post shave I have no dryness of which was an issue before, even with sensitive shaving foams. This helps to get a much closer to the bone shave and I can feel the difference.Highly recommended!

I initially struggled to 'unlock' the pump; the nozzle and core of the pump are supposed to rotate anti-clockwise within the suction tube but in this case they were all spinning as one. I resolved it by cinching the knurled collar down as tight as I could, then also pinching the collar between my thumb and forefinger. Finally it unlocked!Not a great start then, but it's worth the futzing; this is a very nice gel for the money.I've been using RedOne gel for a while but the last couple of tubs especially the gel was quite thick and difficult to work in, to the extent that I would warm the tub over the radiator in an attempt to soften it. This is much more workable - more liquidy if you will - and very close in fact to King of Shaves gel (the GOAT of non-foaming gels IMO but so expensive).So far I've had only one facial shave but it was very satisfying. Even though the blade has had a few uses already it was a very close shave; no annoying residual stubble, minimal irritation (I have sensitive skin), and no cuts. I expect when I break out a new blade it'll be even better.Very pleased so far!

I've used Gillette & Nivea shaving foam/cream for a while. I tried this gel due to the fact that amazon for whatever reason would not allow me to buy 1 bottle of Gillette shaving foam because I had to spend £40 with morrisons in order to get it (that is a whole other problem but I digress)When I did use it while it did the job, it didn't do it as well as Gillette or Nivea. I put this down to the gel itself being far too thick. I had to go over my cheeks several times before it lifted the full amount of facial hair I wanted to remove, baring in my I have a shaped beard so I typically only shave my centre and upper cheeks and neck without touching the sides or the jaw line. With Gillette and Nivea I was able clear those areas by with much more efficiency. So ultimately it works but you need to work at it.For taking it with you on the fly, provided you have enough space its fine but if you do not its quite large considering its purpose and thus it is much more annoying to carry around compared to a foam or cream can.Smell wise, its quite pleasant and what I have come to expect from a product for men, so it has that going for it at least.Its also worth pointing out that on arrival mine seemingly did not work (the push system to release the gel into your hand) It seemed to of been blocked or otherwise non-functional forcing me to unscrew it and manually scoop out gel in order to use it.Conclusion: Its ok, it works it could be better it could be worse, its certainly not going to beat Gillette or Niveas foams/creams but if you want an alternative to a different gel product, then this will probably work for you.

I bought this item for shaving (obviously). But felt cheated as the gel did not foam up as I am used too.I am now getting used to it plus find it much better for "detailed" shaving than foam gels. If the performance, as I get used to using it, is as good as the foam gels (so far so good) I will definitely recommend this product for the main reason above. Plus be ordering this on a regular basis.

The media could not be loaded. Broken and spilt on arrival.Amazon want me to clean this mess and post it to them for a refund

I never managed to use the gel as the pump was disconnected from the tube inside the container and therefore it was not possible to use the pump….. now here’s the best bit.. this was a replacement for a previous order which had exactly the same fault. Avoid unless you want to decant all the gel, fix the pump and then refill the unit.

This is a good product and very good value.The only downside is the quite flimsy container which I have received after ordering with a crack all the way down the side. It could do with being a more rigid container.
