13 1/2 X 15 3/4 excellent quality - I’m extremely pleased w/puzzle board & base. Highly recommend it!

I think it's safer to lift the board off the riser, lower the brackets to a flat position, and then lay the board down on the bracket. The board is not heavy and easily lifted. I think this way you can be confident that the puzzle pieces will stay on the board. I've been pleased that puzzle pieces adhere to the felt very well as long as you don't tip over the board.

Able to puzzle again

I stopped doing puzzles because looking down to do them began to cause a lot of neck pain. Since purchasing this board I have finished 3 puzzles and am not in pain. I typically do 1000 piece puzzles and I would definitely check the measurements for puzzles with more pieces as 1 of the 3 I finished just fit on the board. I do wish that the base was large enough to properly support the board vertically though. All in all a great purchase.
