So far so good! It is larger than I thought it would ...
So far so good! It is larger than I thought it would be - at least 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It does not have a hose that needs to drain out of a window (thank God). It has simple settings and a remote control and even on the lowest setting, it really blows the air out. I need to keep it away from my desk area because the papers start blowing around. It's bit loud but I think there has to be SOME trade off for comfort. If you open the top tray, you can see the water recycling down into the filter and it feels very cool. You can also put ice cubes in here and it gets even cooler. The water tank holds lots of water so I'm sure it could run all night and not go empty. The wheels make it easy to move around. I know this thing will keep me comfortable this Summer and I'll probably buy another one for our son's room - that's how much I like it. Money well spent.

Honeywell CO25AE 52 Indoor/Outdoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler WORKS!!!
This Honeywell CO25AE 52 Indoor/Outdoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler arrived promptly and well packaged. I have now used my new evaporative cooler over a half dozen times here in this warm and sunny Las Vegas weather. It pleases me to say that the cooled air coming from my evaporative cooler feels GREAT. This little unit WORKS great.I live in a 30ft. motorhome and it is very susceptible to the temperature... always colder inside than out during the winter and always hotter inside than out during the summer! I chose this portable unit for ease of use although my inside space is at a premium. I roll the unit down the hall to point into my bedroom when I'm in there. When I'm sitting at my desk, which is located in the central part of my motorhome, I point it to my back and am comfortably cooled. When I sit in my captain chairs, at the front of my motorhome, I turn my evaporative unit around very easily and am kept comfortable. As the temperature here in Vegas will likely be in the 3-digits this summer, I will be curious as to how well it performs then. However, so far, I am well pleased and would make the purchase again as well as recommend it for those looking for a nice portable evaporative cooler.

I chose to go with the evaporator b/c it looked more energy friendly and easy to use
My house doesn't have air conditioning so I had a couple of options which including getting this or a window a/c unit. I chose to go with the evaporator b/c it looked more energy friendly and easy to use. I also bought the water treatment formula. When I turned it on after filling it with water and ice it did seemed cool however I may gotten a defective one because it started spitting water out and leaked out a little also. It also smelled really fishy even after I put in the water treatment. I really like Honeywell and really wanted this machine to work, but I had to return this to Amazon.

A little noisy but was expected.
A little noisy but was expected. Air feels cooler and help me to feel fresh. It doesn't cool down a room just with one ice bucket, you need to refill continuously... Overall is a 3 stars for me. At least I don't have the horrible hose in my window.

and have been pretty pleased. I live in the Palm Springs area
I have had this evaporative cooler for about a month now, and have been pretty pleased. I live in the Palm Springs area, where the air is hot and dry, so it's the perfect place for this cooler. When I first purchased it, the temperature here wasn't too high (mid-80s at night), so I would position the cooler near a sliding-glass door in the bedroom that was opened about 18"; in that environment, it worked like an absolute champ. Now that temperatures have warmed to the 90s at night, it is just too hot to leave the sliding glass door open. I tried running the unit with the door closed, and although it did make a difference, the humidity in the room got up to about 70%, and the cooler stopped cooling. I also have a wall-mounted air conditioner in my bedroom, and have found that just running that is better than using this cooler at night (even in conjunction with the A/C) when the sliding glass door has to be closed.Where this unit shines (and is shining right now, as I write this, as a matter of fact) is during the day. I work from home, so I'm sitting in the office nearly all day, on a computer. I position the cooler just outside the doorway to the office, and set it to blow on me. Since it is pulling in air from down the hallway, the air in the office doesn't get too humid -- and when it does, I use the remote to turn the cooler to "fan only" until the humidity drops a bit, and then turn the cooling function back on. Using this process, I am able to get my house thermostat set at 84-85, and the temperature in my office stays at 80-81, although it feels cooler than that with the air blowing right at me, from about 10 feet away.My wife and I also use this cooler in the evening when we're watching television. I will position it next to the TV stand, and set it to "swing" back and forth, so the air hits both of us. We have a large family room with vaulted ceilings, so increased humidity in this application is not a factor. In this setting, we can comfortably keep the thermostat at 83 degrees.I have used ice in the reservoir, and although it does make a difference, the ice melts extremely quickly -- faster than my ice maker can make ice.I am not sure where the 52-pint description comes from, since I fill the unit with just over 3 gallons of water. It does go through water pretty quickly, but you can adjust the amount of water running through the system, without having too huge of any impact on the cooling operation.TIP: More water does not necessarily mean more cooling. I find that setting the water flow dial close to the middle offers the best cooling in my environment. When it is set to full, it will blow un-evaporated water out the front, and even leak some out the back.

Great unit
Ordered this for my store because the swamp cooler that is mounted on the roof just can't keep our office cool. Hooked it up yesterday and it works awesome. We only run it on low because if we go any higher, it starts blowing papers all over. Helped cool the office off well! I would recommend this unit for anyone that has a small room that needs cooled off. The ice tray is a neat idea but I filled it up yesterday and the ice melted in a matter of minutes. You would need to constantly fill it if your going to use. But the unit does a good job of cooling without the ice.

Love it!
Absolutely love it. Works well...it is not an air conditioning! But it keeps you cool and comfortable in hot weather. Yes it is a little loud but even an ac unit rattles and is loud. Live in Hawaii and had it on when the humility went up to 72 % it still worked and kept us all a little cooler. Follow all directions and it is fantastic. Loved it so much bought a second smaller unit for a smaller room right after we tried out this model.
