So in love.
Absolutely love this. I have 2 toddlers and needed a wrap for the newborn so I can have my hands free but I'm not wrap saavy and I'm only 5 ft so I was getting tangled up in other wraps, this ones perfect. Semi-structured. Easy clicks, no tying or pulling wraps around and tying. Breathable, I can wear my baby comfortably and will be able to use it when he's bigger too. Perfect for someone like me

Nice for newborns...maybe not for older toddlers
I've used a jersey wrap carrier with all of my babies when they were infants, and while I loved the softness and comfort of the cloth wrap, they were sometimes cumbersome to take on and off in public. (Nothing quite like trying to corral 10 feet of fabric in the grocery store parking lot). The design of this wrap somewhat mimics the feel of a cloth wrap while making it much easier to take on and off. There is a bit of a learning curve with this style of wrap, so I highly recommend watching the instructional video a few times until you feel comfortable safely inserting your child.Personally, I like this style wrap for newborn-6 months. After that point, I tend to switch to a soft-structured carrier because it offers a bit more support for the added weight and activity level of the child. So...while you technically could use this wrap with a toddler, I don't know that it would be the most comfortable option.I do wish the straps were a bit more padded. I think the fabric is comfortable for the baby, but the adjustment straps are not the most comfortable for the baby wearer.

THe perfect hybrid baby carrier!
I'd been wearing ring slings for years before I got up the nerve to try a wrap-carrier. I loved the softness and security of it. I liked that the weight was spread across both shoulders and my back, instead of just one. But, I hated the difficulty of putting it on, especially when I was away from home. It was a bit slow and clumsy, and if I was outside, the ends dragged the ground while I was putting it on.This JJ Cole Nexus Carrier is so much easier! I love that it pulls over my head, has adjustable clip-straps, and still has that soft, snug structure. I've tested it out with my 3 year old (maximum weight), and a small infant. It's so nice and secure! My husband can even fit into it and he's much larger than I am. I wish I'd had one of these sooner. If you sit down and loosen one of the shoulder straps, you can nurse while covered by the carrier itself. I wish I'd found this sooner! The instructions are very clear on how to put it on, adjust it, and how to place the baby in a cradle hold, chest-snuggle hold, and front-facing hold. These instructions have guidelines for appropriate ages to start each hold, and illustrations demonstrating unsafe ways to use the carrier. It's so easy that even a new mom can wear it with confidence!

More comfortable like a wrap, easy to put on like a structured carrier.
I've used a bummer of wraps and even though i love the comfort, they are so complicated that I can't wrap my baby without watching the video, which means if wet are going anywhere i put the wrap on first and wear it without baby under my seashell until we get to our destination. Maybe I'm dense but i don't know how ladies do wrap carriers without enough sleep to think clearly.Because of that, I've relied on soft carriers like the ergo and lillebaby because you just put them on and they work. This jj Cole one combines both in an inexpensive carrier that I like, but that had some obvious dumb design flaws which make it less comfortable, though not less functional. You basically put it on like a softy structured carrier, and put baby in like you would a wrap. Is pretty self explanatory, unlike my lillebaby which took twenty minutes to set up!I like the wide and comfortable piece of fabric acrid the back. It distributes weight well and avoids issues of the straps falling off or being to be crossed or adjusted. However, i think it could have come down even lower on my back for a mild improvement in comfort. The real thing i dislike is the back of the waist strap and the arm straps that tighten one of the front pieces. While the waistband in front is generously sized, for some reason they have this skinny strap that cuts into your back fat in back. It would be so much better if that were a wide, padded strap with lumbar support like so many carriers. The under arm, side straps are the same. I was feeling ok about my postpartum body until I saw how much these straps dug into my plump places. Not comfortable, not flattering. WHY not pad the straps to distribute the weight??The real test was when I tried my 5 month old girl in it. She was happy as a clam, seemed secure and cheerful, and didn't fuss for an hour while I made phone calls and did small chores. So overall it gets four stars out of five. It functions well and is about 70 percent as comfortable as my expensive soft carriers, but is a third the price, which means it's a pretty darn good value. If they'd make the straps wider and padded and add lumbar support, it would be, in my view, on par with high end carriers.

"One size fits most" didn't work for me
I thought I was going to love this carrier as it was light weight and had the extra support clips in the front. The front fabric is very soft but the straps are very rough to the touch. The "one size fits most" didn't work for me and my 9pound 6week old as it wasnt tight enough around his body or head to hold him upright. the straps that buckle in the back are not padded and uncomfortable - not to mention if you have any love handles (yeah post pregnancy body) the thin straps dig right in :(
