Just "okay" not the "best in the world"
It still looks beautiful also in real.However, it's not the "Best Backgammon" in the world as the advertiser says - the quality of it is okay but not extraordinary. It is handmade and glued together. The patterns are prints (I would guess color prints) and have been covered well. You can smell the "gloss finishing" when you open it the first time. I know good handiwork when I see one, this looks more like the work of some medium skilled labor workers.We're enjoying the game and the look. It's worth the price. I just don't like the advertisement, it promises way too much and keeps expectations extremely high.The checkers are cheap plastic. From 1 to 10, I give those a 2 in quality. They look 100 times better on the pictures. Okay to play with, no worries.The product images are wrong. You see two pair of dices but you'll get only one pair. And one of the dices had a deep stain on it you couldn't just clean up with the usual household cleaners. I had to use the blue side of the eraser very hard to get rid of it.You also need a bag for the checkers and dice unless you want to keep them in that 2-cent plastic bag it comes in. Otherwise you won't able to store it right. It would have been appropriate to provide a bag as it's not a cheap product.1 star less because of the grotesque advertisement here and lower quality of the board. 1 star because of a wrongful product image and the damaged piece of dice.

Worth half the price at best.
Far from a “Premium” board. No latch to keep it closed when not in use, checkers and dice look and feel like they came from a Dollar Store checker set. Quite disappointed and I don’t feel that I got my $50 worth.
