Podsta Elevate, SoftGrip, iPad, Tablet, eReader and Smartphone Desktop Stand - Purple

This was significantly larger than I expected. I have a regular Podsta that I have used for years with an iPhone 4 and then a 5c, but I upgraded to an iPhone 7 Plus this year, and the regular Podsta just can't grip it. I was expecting the Elevate to be larger than the regular Podsta, but this is nearly twice the size of the smaller one! I'm not complaining about that, just observing that the images didn't give me a good impression of the Elevate's actual size.It works great, though. I use my phone in landscape mode at night as my clock, and the Elevate holds my phone steadier than the regular Podsta ever held my smaller phones. The regular Podsta tends to feel a bit wobbly much of the time, but the Elevate is stays steady in place.The only problem I have with it is that the cable passthrough and hole undermeath is very poorly designed. The channels to keep charging cables out from the footprint are completely flat to the base, and there isn't any space at the edges of the passthrough hole for those cords to gently bend before they get plugged into the device. And the trench that the device rests in is close enough to the surface that the Elevate rests on that unless your charging cable has an extraordinarily short plug, the device will not be able to sit in the trench with the charging port at the hole, because the plug will push it up above the base of the trench. This basically means that if you want to orient your device so that the charging port is at the bottom and have it charge at the same time, you're out of luck. (Since I use mine in landscape mode, this isn't an issue for me, but it definitely would be one for other folks.)So Podsta, your challenge is to redesign the Elevate so that the device sits high enough up to actually be able to put a charging plug under it. You're looking at a minimum half-inch clearance; three-quarters of an inch would be better, and a full inch would allow the cable to not have to bend as sharply to get there.

I meant to order a small desktop holder for my android phone. So although this wasn't what I wanted, it was still a nice item for a tablet, etc.

Gave these to our family members at Christmas. At first they scoffed but later found them really welcome additions to desktop.

This product just works. It's perfect for iPad and iPad mini. I guess it will work with any similar sized tablet also.I like it because it stand anywhere, it's light, no sharp edges, it won't scratch your device or any surface it sits on. You can throw these things around and they won't break, they bounce! They are super easy to use and there is a choice of colour. All that for a price I would gladly have paid double for! Most decent stands, that in my opinion are not as good, are at least $30 up.Highly recommend, I have 3, two around the house and one at work. Kids love them too!

It will stand almost anywhere, on the sofa, bed, desk. Its made of a soft / light material so your in no danger of ever scratching devices and you can literally throw it about without damaging it! I have silver, blue and black and its the best iPad holder I have ever used.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STAND FOR YOIR IPAD!
