A good summer read
Easy read, a page turner with a feel-good factor I realised once I started reading this was a book I had read previously, but it didn't stop me wanting to read it again.

Enjoyed
This is the third book I've read from this author and the second I have really enjoyed. The story is not predictable which I did find in the second book I read neither was I bored with this story. Yes it's a little over the top happy ever after at the end but isn't what we all want a happy ending? The story is well.written and descriptive of Greece and it's people nicely.my only gripe was the very small part about cancer it was such a feel good read up until that part and I felt cancer plays a massive part in too many people's lives Inc mine and reading helps escape it so for such a small.part.of the story i felt it had no place in the actual story almost like the author just popped it in as an extra.

Nice easy read
Enjoyed this book. Nice easy read with simple characters and parts of real life mixed in.Nice to have a book set up in the North West as opposed to London or the South of the country. The story ticked along nicely and was also frustrating at times and made me want to shake her, by I suppose that's signs of a good book.

Romance and Rhodes
What a fun read, enjoyed the story of Mandy and her friends and family very much. You could feel the sunshine eminating from the pages of the book. Fabulous

Not one of Sue's best
Sadly I think I've out grown Sue Roberts books as I found myself skimming the pages to get to the end. I didn't see the point of characters like Gary the footballer or Leonard the wealthy but scruffy pub regular. I hoped there would be more lovely descriptions about Greek life, culture and food as Sue has wound these things into her previous books set abroad but this one was, just as another reviewer said, a bit patronising to the Greeks who clearly just needed a foreign saviour with a wealthy, well connected friend to get them out of economic crisis. I know it's a work of fiction but I sadly didn't enjoy it.
