Scrap Metal 23 316L Surgical Steel Bent Curved Barbell 4g 4 Gauge

Always my go to for jewelry like this. Can't beat the price. I always had trouble getting curved barbells for my deep P.A aka Dolphin piercing, With that unique of a piercing.

I got this like many for my PA, for the most part I normally wear a CBR or a Horseshoe in it so wanted to try something else. I don’t have any issues wearing it just learning how to stand and pee again had it all worked out with the CBR.The finish is smooth and so far no issues with either ball coming loose or sliding in. I do like the visual appeal of the smooth sphere at the tip and the other back behind.

I bought this for wearing when I decided to stretch my PA to a 4ga. It is bright polished and smooth, internally threaded and the 10mm balls are counter sunk so that the bar goes inside the ball. This adds to the smooth, comfortable feel and prevents stuff from getting in between the bar and the ball. I am very happy with it and it is easier to pee normally with this vs. the captive bead ring I was using. I do recommend using some removable thread locker (blue loctite) on the threaded post to prevent the ball from coming loose. Don't use red loctite or you're going to have to destroy it to take it off! You can also order spare 10mm balls from Scrap Metal 23, in case you lose one.

I have previously purchased curved barbells from Scrap Metal 23 and found them to be the perfect balance between finish, quality, and price. I have the 6g version of this and the threads line up perfectly, are smooth, and the balls are countersunk so that they fit over the actual bar a little bit. The combination made for a perfectly comfortable piece of jewelry, so comfortable that I chose to wear it for quite a few months before deciding that my skin had stretched out just enough to move up to a 4g piece.Having had such a perfect experience, I ordered the 6g version. I have been wearing it for about a week now and absolutely can not stand it. While the finish is beautiful and smooth, the threads on this piece are terrible. They don't line up, stay screwed, and on both ends of the barbell, the actual screw sticking out of the ball is longer than the internal threads of the bar, just enough to leave a small gap. Now I'm wearing this piece down in my nether regions, and let me tell you, I do not appreciate the constant pinching. I will search for a replacement.While I can't be certain that I just received a reject, I would not recommend this specific piece from Scrap Metal 23.
