Super learning tool
Big Snowman, Little Snowman (Disney Frozen) (Step into Reading)This is a great book for children with in a wide age span.I bought this for my grand children as they both love Disney's Frozen series. This book has several attributes to it that made it a great purchase for me.* Practice book for young readers* Beautiful illustrations* Teaching - compare and contrast* Appropriate length for bed time storyMy grand children are 16 months and 3. The 3 year old is very interested in reading and learning concepts. She can't read this on her own yet, but she loves that the book is written in a compare and contraststyle. It gives two examples through out the book one may be happy and contrasts that with onethat is sad. Its a great way to explain opposites and similarities. The younger child simply enjoys the brightly colored illustrations and listening to the story being read. Its a great snuggle time book. Both of the children are getting good use from this one book. That is rare based on their age differences.I am very happy with this purchase.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope it has been helpful to you if you are consideringpurchasing this product. I rely on the opinions of others when making my online purchases so I try toextend that same courtesy to other fellow shoppers. Its always best to consult the experiences ofpeople who have actually handled a product rather than relying on a item description and photoleft by the seller. I always want to know the what makes a product good/bad, how it stands up tothe product claims, if its well made, etc. I am grateful to others who share, as I am sure they havesaved me from disappointing shopping experiences. This was a full price purchase. No discount orsample received.Big Snowman, Little Snowman (Disney Frozen) (Step into Reading)

wonderful step 1 book stressing "opposites"
same frozen story. you need to actually know the story first, have seen the movie, or read the golden book at least, before reading this book.this book does not tell the story. i't's like little excerpts with easy to read sentences that rhyme and focusing on opposites. For example, "Kristoff goes IN... then OUT again". My almost 4yo daughter LOVES this book. the pictures are great. and she is starting to recognize some of the sight words. i point at them while reading to her. i usually am asked to read this book at every bedtime and requested to read it as many times as i would allow it.Actually I'm just going to include the entire text of the book here, i will capitalize as done in the book. Each line is the text presented on 2 pages facing each other (there are 32 pages).HAPPY sister. SAD sister. At first, Hans seems nice.Elsa runs away. She makes the snow and ice!Anna gets ON her hourse. Ride, Anna, ride! Anna falls OFF. It's cold outside.Anna meets Kristoff. His reindeer is Sven. Kristoff goes IN... then OUT again!Anna and Kristoff go, go, go! Sven climbs FAST. Anna climbs SLOW.Elsa has a palace. Anna enters FIRST. Kristoff enters LAST.Elsa freezes Anna with an ice blast!COLD Olaf dreams of the HOT, HOT sun.LITTLE snowman. BIG snowman! Run! Run! Run!Anna is freezing! She is worried, too. She asks a troll what to do.Watch out! Hans attacks! Anna is in FRONT. Elsa is in BACK.Winter ENDS. Summer STARTS.Anna's act of love has thawed her frozen heart.Olaf APART. Sisters TOGETHER. Elsa, Anna, and Olaf...friends forever!

Basically Frozen 1 story
The title and cover image are misleading. This is just the Frozen 1 story. Repeats drawings found in other Frozen 1 Step Into Reading books like A Tale of Two Sisters. No stickers or activity at the end. Rhymes and teaches opposites.

Great Beginning Reader that isn't really about the snowmen (thankfully)
I almost avoided this book because Olaf (the snowman) seriously annoys me, but I'm glad I picked it up. This is an easy reader with rhyming text that gives examples of opposites from the movie."Happy sister, sad sister."The narrative (if you can call it that; it's mostly a series of opposites than a storyline) follows the plot of the movie and focuses on Anna and Elsa rather than Olaf.My son is obsessed with Frozen, and this is our favorite Frozen book. I believe we have read them all. I like it because it's well crafted as a beginning reader book, with opposites and rhymes paired with contextual pictures to help my son figure out the text. I point to the words while I read and let my son fill in the blanks or help me sound out some of the words. If you've got a toddler who loves the movie, I highly recommend this book to help teach him or her to read.

Had to find another activity as she was not too happy to end her story part way through
My 2 yr old granddaughter loves this book and has to have it read to every night at home. At times, she will attempt to read it out loud to her mom and dad.I'm puzzled though, I found a partial copy of this book on my Kindle. I thought it was might have been the whole book and sat down to read it with her at grandma's house. Imagine our surprise when we found only part of the book on the Kindle. Had to find another activity as she was not too happy to end her story part way through.

My five year old giggle as she reads it
Very well done telling of the Frozen movie with words that my 5 year old can read. The pictures from the movie and words that she can read make her love this book. She keeps reading it over and over again, giggling as she reads the sentences on her own. Great for building confidence and a foundation of love for reading
