Bullhide Leather Dressing 8oz // All Natural & Handmade in the USA

I did a lot of research on-line, looking for the perfect leather care product for some antique leather items. I concluded that the consensus is - there is no consensus. For every review I found extolling the benefits of Neatsfoot oil, I could be sure to find an equal number claiming it was harmful to leather. Some swore by EVOO, while others warned against it. Don't even get me started on mink oil, which was the product of choice when I was growing up. I finally decided on this product because it is all natural, and seems to contain only beneficial, non-acidic, oils, like beeswax. Bullhide even recommends that you apply the oil with your fingers, and says it is good for your skin. The oil has the appearance and consistency of a vegetable oil, except it is very clear and refined looking. There is virtually no odor. I like the pump applicator because it allows you to dispense very precise amounts. A little goes a long way, but, because my leather was so old and dried, it soaked up quite a bit. You are supposed to allow the oil to penetrate for several hours, or overnight, then wipe off any excess. I found that finished leather will buff to a nice shine. Is this the best leather care product out there? I don't know. There are many which seem promising that I haven't tried. This product seems to be doing the trick, though, and I have no complaints.

Good stuff. If you have leather boots, belts, etc. You really need this stuff!

I was a little scared with the color change when first applied, but dried beautifully. I will reapply on 6 months.

This is one of the best leather treatments I've ever used. I have this Coach carry all that I have had for over 16 years. I know you're thinking, "Get a new one", but I love this one. It's beautiful leather, soft, supple and it is the perfect size for all of my junk. I take it everywhere and has you can see in the photos, it looks a bit battered. No I don't mind the distressed leather look, but admittedly, this was getting a little too distressed looking. I applied the leather dressing to one panel of the bag and the handle. The other side of the bag was not treated. As you can see in the photo the treated area looks rich, dark , soft. This is what my bag looked like when it was new. You can see the marks and the sort dry look of the untreated side. I really am quite amazed that this leather dressing was able to make such a huge difference. I was also surprised that it was a pretty thin like liquid, not creamy and greasy like I expected. I put this on a cloth and rubbed it on the panel I was treating. At the time of the photo, the treatment had been fully absorbed and had been drying for a few hours. Even after it was fully dry, the leather looked rich, dark and almost new. This was a $500 bag 16 years ago, so to be able to save it with this very inexpensive leather dressing has made me very happy. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Good quality and lasting. The instructions, follow them. I used way too much the first time and wound up using it on everything. A little goes a long way. I did get a discount for reviewing this.
