Took these to the vet with us. Our dogs won't let us cut their nails but we also have a problem letting the vet use his clippers to do our dogs' nails - and those of so many other dogs. We kept thinking of all the illnesses that could be transmitted that way. The vet remarked how strong these were, easy to use and sharp - very sharp. I could see it in the way he made the cuts. The blades sliced through the nails without even squeezing them.

Good tool for the job! I had never clipped my dogs nails myself so I was a little nervous about trying it and it probably showed the first time I used these clippers. I wasn't sure about the process and my beagle wasn't sure about me but we figured it out. There's a pad guard on the tool that keeps you from clipping too short so that gave me confidence. The second time I used these my beagle was relaxed and drowsy and I was calmer with experience from previous clip so she gave me her paws willingly and was able to hold them more lightly so she got a better pedicure and experience.I would have rated it 5 stars but there were no instructions included so I was a little confused about this unknown tool at first but only until I tried the first couple of toenails.

Like some other reviewers, the lock on my clippers broke the first day, and I was trying to be careful. I am no expert on clippers, but these seem to cut fairly well, with a little crushing as others have said. Cutting from the side, not the front of the nail seemed to help a lot. The cutting guide works ok. Buy some styptic powder if you're new at trimming your pal's nails.

These are crap. Broke after nail number 2. Qwick protector falls off and there is no such thing, there's always a possibility of qwicking a nail. Overall cheaply made. Not recommended.

Makes clipping aCat'scan nails or even a the smallest puppy. Theses are the best I've ever seen and our veterinarian agrees completely!

Comfortable grip on handle.

I gave it four stars because it's got a good sharp edge on it and the file is nice and convenient words hat in but I think I would like to see this have more of a curved handle little more comfortable grip especially since we've got a dog that tends to wiggle saw a comfortable grip makes a huge difference. But all in all good product my order was received quickly.
