Works great!
I use this for my bodum pour over. I had previously been using a reusable cotton filter but that was messy. This filter makes a great cup of coffee and doesn't allow any pass-through of grounds. The rubber gasket at the top keeps everything steady. It is easy to clean. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Makes coffee! You can't be mad with a mug in your paw!
I was running low on the paper filters for my 10-cup Chemex pot, and while looking for more came across this. Generally I try and stick to re-useable products, and thought I would try this for a while in place of the paper filters. After about a dozen uses, I felt like I could weigh in. I'm no expert, but I do regularly use french press, Aeropress, single-cup pour overs, and the Chemex.*The Good*Washable, good filter, works well. Delivered quickly, arrived as described. Unlike paper filters allows more of the oil from the bean into the final cup, which is generally good (personal taste, but I like the oils). It's a cone with steel mesh, there isn't much to say. As another reviewer mentioned, the bottom of the cone is solid. I actually think this is good- it slows down the water as it passes through the grounds a bit more, giving it more contact time and thus pulling out more flavor.*What could be better*In my opinion, the water still passes through a bit too fast. The box recommends a grind coarser than normal pour-over, to keep the filter from clogging, but I found that going any coarser than what I had been using didn't produce a strong enough coffee. So I use an extra scoop of beans. I also worry about the filter clogging long-term with the finer grind. As I stated I am using this with my 10-cup Chemex, and for this size I would prefer if the cone were a bit larger, both sitting deeper in the upper portion of the Chemex and sitting a little higher above the lip, to accomidate a bit more water. I make coffee in the morning, while cooking breakfast and packing lunch, so I can't just pour continuously (sorry, I'm not perfect). The combination of faster drip rate, the slightly smaller volume vs paper filters, and my method of preparing the coffee means the grounds more frequently end up cooling down with no water on them, and the end result suffers.*TL:DR*This is a good product, and I expect it to be worth the price long term vs regular paper filters for a 10-cup Chemex. Brewing with it requires a little more attention than paper filters, but can produce a better (personal opinion) cup. I recommend this, alongside or as an alternative to paper filters.

Best budget option
Despite Amazon saying it didn't arrive, I have it in my hand. Anyways this is one of the best budget options from a recognizable American company.I've owned a single-layer metal filter of inferior quality for 1.6 years, and as long as you immediately rinse the grounds and descale (soak in a 50/50 water and vinegar mix for 12-24 hours) once a month, it should never clog even after constant use. I don't expect clogging with a superior reusable metal filter as long as you clean it. (Like you should do with most items you use anyways.) This filter cleans easily as it should. As long as there's proper flow and aeration, you can use any type of grounds you'd like. (Even fine.)It is compatible with my Hario 02 dropper, and the rubber seal stabilizes it. While there is more expensive options, there is no true need to replace it as long as it's functional.

Worked, slowed, can’t clean, headed for the trash... oh the coffe is not brewed properly
I had such high hopes for this filter.Worked great the first week. I was so impressed I was recommending it tofriends. I upgraded my pour over rig toChemex from the Coffee Gator after I broke the pot.I’ve tried to clean this filter with soap and water, a vinegar solution and even pure soda ash. Nothing works.Contacted the award will customer service a week ago...crickets...nada...So I’m back to using the Coffee Gator filter with my Chemex. Also, the filter is aesthetically pleasing but a mother to get out of the Chemex when hot.I like my coffee to be brewed in 2 minutes or less to avoid the tannins. I grind the coffee at 4.5 so there are no small grinds. There is no reason a filter like this should clog and not be cleanable...I have included the picture of the filter after being removed from a vinegar soak and you can clearly see the coffee residue. I have also included the Coffee Gator filter for comparison which has need used 1-3 times daily for 6 months and just rinsed out never washed.** also this filter is very inefficient. If you look at the design of the Chemex and the use of paper filter you’ll quickly see the grinds per design of the Chemex stay closely together and allow for perfect brewing. With this filter it just sits in the Chemex opening and does not allow the grinds to work froth or proper brew. Again the little Coffee Gator filers does. It fits down the neck of the Chemex imitating paper filters.
