This has been a great purchase! Good quality cord. As mom's we're so busy and if you go back to work, even part time that pumped milk is a must.I've got a system now for when I'm in car that allows privacy/modesty.. I have a wireless sports bra that I've cut holes in. (Works way better than the pump bra and so much easier- just don't cut the holes too big.)I wear my regular bra with a cami tank over it then a work polo or T-shirt. One in the car I whip off the T-shirt and pull the straps of bra and tank down then put nursing bra over it just above the breast until I put on my nursing cover. Now I can flip down the bra and tank and adjust nursing bra to accommodate the "utters." It's not sexy. I insert the narrow end of flanges through the holes I've cut and pop everything else on. It's easier to get the seatbelt on BEFORE the tubes and OVER cover.. You don't want to get pulled over when your packing this heat. Then just make sure everything is comfortable and not pulling before you drive. If your flanges aren't staying flush you can instead adjust cami above the breast to hold down the top of flange.Don't forget your insulated bag with icepack!

I've never tried the medela version of this adapter, so I can't compare. I purchased this one because it's obviously much cheaper and had good reviews. I work a very busy job and wanted to use it for times that I'm commuting between sites, or on road trips. I've just started using it recently, but it seems to work great. I didn't notice a difference in the amount I was able to pump, and it was not significantly slower than when plugged into the wall. I did notice it didn't have the same degree of suction, so I had to up the settings a little bit. It also makes a slightly different noise and I think pumps at a slightly different frequency, but this didn't affect the function at all. Breastfeeding supplies can get expensive; this is definitely one place where you can save a little money and get this cheaper one!

Works great with my medela pump in style advanced pump. I love the convenience of pumping on car rides instead of worrying about doing it before I leave or when I get home. It does have a diminished power output I believe then plugging into a wall because it's much quieter when using. Haven't noticed any decrease in supply though so it may just need turned up higher when in the car.

If you are looking for a cheap car adapter for a Baofeng ham radio charger, I can confirm this works! The AC adapter that comes with the radio outputs at 10 volts but the off-brand adapters on Amazon output the car's voltage. This can go over 14v when the car is running. From what I've read, the high voltage can cause the Baofeng charger cradle to shut down.The breast pump adapter puts out 9v (it states 9v +/- 5%) and charges the battery in a few hours. Plus, it's cheaper than the alternative and comes with a long cable.

Its good to have it, not sure if there are any other kind that would give you a stronger pump , but this works ok for me and I am happy. Its not like power at home of course you are using it in the car but it has become a life saver for my work schedule type!

I bought this for my Medela advance pump so that I could use it while riding out of town. This was a great alternative for use. I used this on many occasions of long drives and everytime it worked just as expected. I had a NICU baby so this made it very convenient to use my pump on the go. The cord also was pretty long and reached to my back seats in my SUV so that was great too.

Great for on the go. Keep this in my diaper bag at all times. Definitely a loss of power between this and plugging into an outlet though and have tried multiple different vehicles. I have been able to get close to the same effectiveness by turning up the dial on the pump but it isn't quite the same.

I do find that I have to turn the power on my pump up higher to get the same kind of suction that I would if plugged in to a normal socket. So it doesn't work as well as just being at home, but then again, you're in a car! It does its function and fits my Medela style pump just right.
