How long do they typically last?

I've had mine for several years, I use them all day long every day and they are still working like they are new. Great sound and very comfortable.

Has anyone tried foam tips with this product? Is the attachment point for the tip 5mm?

You don't need foam tips with this product. The ear buds are very comfortable and different sizes come in the package.

Can these earbuds be used with an IPhone?

The newer generation iPhones replaced the standard 3.5 mm headphone port with their proprietary Lightning connector. You could get a conversion dongle but those things are awkward and the Lightning port is fragile. Rather than risk your iPhone's health I recommend you go with $20 set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds instead.
