Great upgrade for a 2018 compass
First off id like to say that this is a great upgrade over the stock filter. Noticeable acceleration improvement over the entire power band. Secondly, I'm sure there was a really good reason why Jeep installed a second permanent air filter in the filter box....I just haven't figured out that reason yet. Also +2MPG on average.

This air filter is super easy to install. I use similar air filters in all my vehicles over the years. Cleaning can be cumbersome, but it only has to be done every 50K, so it's not a burden.I also liked that they provided a sticker to put on the filter cover to remind anyone looking to change it that is doesn't need to be changed. Something new, and I love it.

Worth it
Fits perfect on 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Don't expect a drastic change but definitely a noticeable change in acceleration. Just a bit more pep and responsiveness. MPG is also slightly better so that's a plus. I don't notice this "growl" everyone else is talking aboutUPDATE: I've had this in for about 5 months now. Prior to install I was averaging 22.8 MPG, now I'm averaging 24.9 MPG. Maybe don't expect a full 2 MPG change since I've recently moved away from a major city and very rarely in stop-go traffic now.

It's a washable filter
Nothing to gain other than a washable life time filter. No milage or performance gains.

Reusable Filter needs cleaning regularly and may save money
The filter is nice because you can regularly clean it which results in me doing it more often then previously only being able to replace when dirty. I didn’t notice a horsepower increase (2.4 Liter 4 Cylinder 2018 Jeep Renegade) mileage seemed to go up a few tenths so nothing significant there. I clean it more often then I previously replaced the filter so perhaps that’s good. The cleaning kit is about 15 bucks for the cleaner and oil on top of the filter cost it takes over a year if you changed your air filter every oil change to pay for the K&N.

No evidence of power increase or mpg increase. Sounded nice tho in my 2020 Jeep Renegade with the 2.4l
