This impressively small power bank fits into a standard (Men's) pocket. There is some heft, which is to be expected. Micro USB is a small annoyance, but ultimately manageable. USB A is also an antiquated design when considering both ports could be replaced by a single USB-C input/output port.Small issues are surmountable considering the general lack of power banks which will actually fit in a pocket. 5000 mAh is enough for one charge of the One Plus Open's considerable battery capacity. I'm old enough to remember carrying around a spare battery to swap in on the fly, which is essentially impossible now except for the cheaper smartphones with limited functionality. Spare lithium ion batteries can be fit into a wallet, but don't hold their charge very well.Only time will dictate the longevity of this power bank. It feels robust with the standard metal construction Anker is known for. The bank charges quickly enough, but certainly won't charge from zero to one hundred in less than an hour. Likewise, the power coming from the device is enough to charge a phone at a steady rate.Ultimately this spare battery is highly useful in many different situations. Hopefully it will last longer than a few months of infrequent use.

Recently replaced older, small powerbank. Fits nicely in handbag, backpack, etc. I have used it for family members to charge on the go. Recharges to full power in a short period of time. Very pleased.

The Power Core 5000Size:The unit is roughly the length of a Leatherman and the circumference is wider than that of a US Quarter. See attached photos. The weight is slightly lighter than my trusty multi-tool.Look and Feel:It is a matte black around the tube. The ends are more of a glossy black plastic. This is where I will ding the unit, the micro USB charging port seems more difficult to locate and get the cable inserted than other charging ports I have used on any number of devices. As a result, the end is already showing scratches from my bad aim, see photo. A color change around the ports might make this an easier target, especially in less than ideal lighting.There are 3 LED lights to show charge under the power button, see photo. My next and last knock on the product, the power button is fairly flush on the unit. Trying to find it by touch is very difficult. The button does give a satisfying tactile response when clicked. Very reminiscent of a mechanical keyboard feedback in my mind.Use:This will fit very nicely in a pants pocket with a cell phone, provided you can fit your phone in your pants to begin with. There is no magic elixir to make a large phone fit in your tight pants pocket. While the device is very unassuming, I did notice while grocery shopping that women took notice of the charger that was in my front pocket with my phone.Charging speeds are more than acceptable. I have a Nexus 6P I was testing with and the charge was very fast. This will not produce a Rapid Charge, but the rate was very compatible to charging the phone with any other USB to USB type C cable wall charger configuration. This will NOT mimic the charging speeds of the factory USB type C wall charger that comes with a 6P. With the unit holding 5000 mAh of power, it will charge most phones at least 1.5 times from 0%.Conclusion:Only minor gripes are the difficulty to hit the charging port and the difficulty of finding the power button by touch. Other than those small issues, this is a top notch portable battery with a very premium feel.Contents:There is a 2 foot micro-USB cable, a very nice high quality padded carrying case, the Power Core 5000 and the manuals and paper trail that comes with anything you buy.
