The most powerful armor arrives!! Ultimate Armor X!!!
Before we start with the review let's do a background check on this beautiful piece of armor.Ultimate Armor X debuted for the first time in MMX4 for the Sega Saturn and PS1(depending on the console at the time)as a cheat code that you would input in the game on the character selection. Once that was done and you start playing the game, you would see regular X in the game but instead of sporting the light blue colors on his body he would have purple instead, this is an indication that the code has been successfully inputted. Then afterwards you go and select any of the maverick boss's stage that you could get access to a Dr. Light's Capsule (doesn't matter which capsule, any will do), some people would go to the Web Spider Stage since is the easiest to get(however i prefer the Cyber Peacock stage for the reasons that i get a heart, a energy tank and the armor capsule all in one go). Once that's done and you get out of the armor capsule you will see X sporting an entire set of the armor and in a different color, blue instead of white color like the other previews armor upgrades. the highlight of this armor in the game is that you could do an ultimate attack called the Nova Strike as many time as you want, it is such a broken attack that pretty much you don't even need to use the boss's weapons in the majority of the game since not only this does a massive damage but it also gives you a temporary invincibility while performing the attack, thats how powerful and broken it is. (note: to get Zero's Black Armor just input the code on the character selection screen, however this armor doesn't do anything special for Zero except just turning his Armor color from red to black).Ultimate Armor X also returns again for 2 other games in the continuity:-MMX5: You have 2 ways to get the armor, you can get it by inputting a code at the characters select screen which it will allow you to start with it or by playing the game and reach the third final stage where you have to fight Zero/X or Maverick Zero depending who you're using and if Zero is a Maverick or not. You will need to use X in his regular form to be able to get this, otherwise the armor capsule won't appear. Just before the last area with the huge hole and a bunch floating platforms, you should see a small hole with a motionless platform hovering above. Jump down and slide down the right side of the hole, you'll eventually enter a secret room with the capsule which it will give you the Ultimate Armor. everything still remains the same except that instead of having the purple colors it would have the light blue colors instead.(note: you can do the same thing for Zero to get his Black Armor either trough a code or reaching the third final stage where the X's ultimate Armor Capsule would be).-MMX6: Again this armor returns for this game, the only way to get this armor is by inputting a special code on the title screen, you will hear a sound that it will indicate you that the code has been successfully inputted. Once you start the game you will see X sporting the Ultimate Armor, his effects still remains the same, the only change that it had is that instead of sporting the dark blue color in the armor is changed to black instead. (note: you can also get Zero's black armor in the game by inputting a code, however you can only have one code inputted at a time. you cannot have both X's Ultimate Armor or Zero's Black Armor at same time.Truly this armor would go down in history as the most powerful of all.Now to the review of the figure:Bandai has decided to release for the D-arts Megaman X line the most powerful armor of all, the Ultimate Armor X, truly they capture the image of the armor just like how it looks like in the official artworks. The level of detail is incredible watching the internal mechanical parts of X in the Ultimate Armor is nice, now how Bandai did that? well what they did is just simply mold the Blue transparent giving the details in the inside of the armor instead of the outside and then painted the inside with Silver to highlight those details to make them pop, i have to say that the effects works really well making it look like your watching really his internal parts. Articulation is pretty much the same as the previews D-arts Megaman X figures but a bit more solid, however i find the ankles of my figure's feet to be a bit tough than i would like but nothing to worry about. accessories wise the figure comes with:- 3 interchangeable faces: normal face(already on the figure)/another face looking to the left, and another face looking to the right while shouting.- 2 sets of hand: 2 open hands and 2 fist.- 1 Nova Strike Wings: this include with already attached gold wings on the side and the little black piece with the green jewel at the from, this pieces can be remove from the blue backpack piece to give it the close effect mode.- 1 ultimate X Buster: with 2 small fins that need to be attached on and another piece with a peg hole to replace the one with the jewel that is already on the Buster (this is for the shot effect parts.- 1 small green shot effect part.- 1 right arm: to replace where the Buster is attach on.Another thing to point out, the small piece in X chest can be remove, this is only for the effect of the Nova Strike pose i believe but not sure. This figure is so awesome i love it but if i have to say some bad things of it i have to say it would be on exchanging the faces, trying to remove the helmet piece to change the face is a hassle specially when you have to be careful while trying to pull it out while trying to be careful to not break the 3 crest pieces, there not made of rubber but hard plastic. another problem issue is that one of the fins that you use to attach it to the buster has a small peg than the other, I'm concern this could break easily if not been careful. His buster shot effect part is kinda disappointing (yet accurate), is just a small little green shot and not the actual giant charge shot that you see in the games. You could try to replicated it by giving him the giant charge shot effect part from another figure like the one the D-arts Megaman X full Armor(the white armor)has if you have it but as its stand its a bit disappointing he doesn't have his own actual big Charge shot effect part.a side of having some stiff ankle joints, a hard time on pulling out the helmet front piece to change the face for another and no actual charge shot and a concern about the small peg of one of the buster fins, the figure is pretty much great.-pros-- accurate to the game.- high level of detail.- solid work.- good amount of accessories.-cons-- kinda stiff on the ankle joints (possible only on my figure)- hard changing faces which one could possibly break the crest in his forehead by accident.- smaller peg in one of the fins of the Buster which could break if not careful.- Buster shot is a small little green shot and not the actual big Charge Shot. (still accurate to the artwork)A side of having some stiff ankle joints, a hard time on pulling out the helmet front piece to change the face for another, no actual giant charge shot and a concern about the small peg of one of the buster fins, the figure is amazing. This figure is a great representation to the actual game, i love the work that Bandai did and i hope to see more of X's other armors in the future, specially those from the Mega mission cards the EX armor set that Bandai did years ago in the model kit line. I recommend everyone to get this guy ASAP before the scalpers starts overpricing this like crazy, trust me you will not be disappointed.

Keeping up the quality
After buying a lot of "high end" type figures, Bandai Tamashii D Arts figures are without a question my favorite. The overall quality to them is fantastic, the level of detail is outstanding and they're super pose-able. They're built in such a way that they're relatively hard to break since most of its parts are built to be popped back on easily. An excellent addition to any Mega Man fan's collection. The blue flourish on the armor looks really nice up close. At a price range of around $40 bucks, it's definitely worth it. The Ultimate Armor figure doesn't come with much compared to the other X's and figures in the set, but still it looks really nice on its own.

Not My Favorite, But Not My LEAST Favorite.
Bandai did a great job on this figure, but sadly, I have to point out the pros and cons of this figure. Now, when I say cons, they might be problems that only happened with my figure and not yours. So, let's dive right in.First of all, the pros: When I saw this figure come in the mail, I was pumped. I couldn't wait to put it on my shelf with my other figures. And I'm happy to say, this figure is absolutely beautiful. The clear-blue coloring as seen in the pictures is actually darker when you see it for yourself. And the articulation on this figure is what you would expect from Bandai at this point, but slightly below what I was expecting. More on that later. The added features, while some-what underwhelming, are still perfectly crafted and very well detailed, Such as the "jet-pack" that plugs into his back where two little pegs made just for it, can snap right into without much if any trouble. If you have a Bandai stand to put this figure on, you're going to get SO much more out of him. It just seems he was MADE for the Act Trident stage piece. Now, the cons: Let's make this short, since these are mostly nit-picks and problems that mainly I had with it. I was some-what disappointed to see that there weren't many attachments to this figure. Only the "jet-pack", dark green blast effect, another buster attachment to plug the effect in, two wing-lets for the buster, two faces, another arm if you want X without his buster, and two open hands. That's rather basic compared to Vile, where they even went out of there way to make a nod to the Mega Man X manga. And the figure was somewhat stiff when I took him out of the box, but I had that problem when I first opened ALL my figures, so that's a very small nit-pick. Also, there was a tiny black spot on the waist area, but I was able to gently take it out of there with some paint. Again, that was probably something only I had an issue with. And that's just about it. I highly recommend you get this figure if you're interested in this toy-line. He looks amazing alongside Zero V.2 and Vile on my shelf. I can't wait to receive my Black Zero figure to make a review on that! It gets a 4/5, but 5/5 for effort and quality.

Great figure!
Very very good figure and a must have if you want to collect these. It's absolutely beautifuly made. I have no complaint. The blue transparent armor looks better than I was thinking. X comes with a winged back pack, several faces and hands, plus that green energy shot. He's got a few pointy parts on his helmet that you should be careful with when changing faces. We need an upgrade to Vile now. Vile MK II now D-arts? How can the villian figures even compete with this upgrade to X? :D

Great Mega Man X figure, perfect for fans and collectors
I'm a figure collector, and I've purchased a good amount of the Mega Man D-Arts in the past. So of course I wanted to add this to my collection. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how cool he was, especially the removable jet pack that comes with him. His three expressions that come with him are also some of my favorites. The parts on his armor can make him a little tougher to move (since they're sharp and could get you in the hand or something) but his posability is just as good as all the other D-Arts, which is splendid. A little more than what I would've liked to pay for him, but a good grab nonetheless.
