Mega Goethe Weather Ball Barometer

So I have this up on my mantle and it's kind of addicting watching it! The water level changes significantly and much more frequently than I would have expected. Literally it changes throughout the day to the point I am constantly looking at it when I walk by. I'm still learning what it means in practice. I know the basic idea of low pressure high pressure indicating storms or good weather but I'm not experienced enough to know what that means in real world practice like wow pressure that low must mean rain is coming in the next few hours! Better pass on hanging out that laundry! I think in time I will get a better feel for what the water levels mean relative to what the weather is doing in the real world but even as a decoration it is very neat! One thing I would recommend is that you put something in the water to prevent mold and algae growth. I filled mine up with straight water and it got pretty gross in a months or two which was hard to clean out being that it's basically sealed.

Originally bought because I would feel a little weird some days and wondered if it was due to pressure changes. This looks much nicer than a digital box.I don't know how to read it (I'm sure it was in the manual, or I could very easily find out online) but it is still lovely to look at every day. Use food coloring to make it whatever color fits your style.Have had it out for a year, and don't see any signs of mold or bacteria growth, likely due to using distilled water, like the setup directions advise
