Best furniture polish out there
I am actually 3rd generation furniture refinisher, restorer, repairer. I have use probably hundreds of gallons of Guardsman cream polish. To clean, dust, and polish furniture we worked on. We even gave a bottle as a gift to customers that we had done major refinishing for. It leaves the finish protected from drying out. Leaves it clean and fresh with a wonderful lusture. The proper way to use it. In a household setting. Take a clean cloth dusting towel. Moistion the towel with water. Put a small dollop of the polish on the towel. Work the polish into the cloth. Use that to dust with. As the towel gets dirty. Rinse it out and repeat. That alone will leave the finish with a lusture that's really eye catching. Years ago, Guardsman manufactured and sold finishing supplies to the furniture industry. We used them in our shop and sold the their polish to the public. Encourage our customers to use it. There are so many terrible products on the market. That actually build up over many applications. Leaving a sticky, gummy residue. This residue ( over time ) actually dissolves the finish. Especially on pieces that get handled in every day use. Like the finished arms of wooded chair. It also has a nice pleasant fragrance. I would add. If you have major cleaning to do. A very dirty piece that has maybe been in storage, etc. I would first clean it with Murphy's oil soap. Diluted per instructions on the bottle. Then go over it with Guardsman as I've stated above.

Works
Read the reviews and took a chance. This product worked very well on wooden stair case and wooden furniture. It didn't take much product nor did you have to rub hard. It cleaned areas that were high traffic areas. Highly recommend.

Great on my front door
I saw this product recommended on a door company's website so I thought I would try it on my front door. I wish I had taken a full picture of the door before I started! I was so impressed, though, that I took pictures of a couple sections as I worked. The first picture is where I first noticed a difference - I started at the bottom. I did the vertical grain section on the right - the horizontal section on the left is not done yet. The third picture is the same section, after both parts are done. I also took a close-up of the tall rectangular sections - the one on the right is done, the one on the left is not. Then I took a picture of the whole door when it was done. I think it is a noticeable improvement. I only wish the prior owners of our home had used this product sooner! It is supposed to protect against sun damage which clearly has happened. Still, I think it was worth the effort to use it. Easy to apply - I used an old rag and rubbed it in. I was able to use this stuff pretty generously because after doing this whole door in detail, and then our back patio double door, I still only used maybe a quarter of the bottle. Seems like a good product to me! EDIT: Amazon posted my pictures out of order. The last picture is the first one I took with the right side done and the left side not done; the one before that is the same section, all done; the second one is the whole door, done; and, the first picture is the two panels with the one on the right done and the one on the left not done

Good polish that does the job - no miracles
This is a creamy, rich polish that feels as though it would nourish wood furniture. I have a mahogany dining table that has many tiny scratches that you can only see in certain light. I was hoping this polish would somehow fill in the scratches and make them less noticeable. Alas, this isn't a magic formula. I'm sure the polish is doing some conditioning and helping the wood but it doesn't work miracles.

Nourishing to the wood.
Easy to apply, adds a deep sheen that's not a gaudy too shiny appearance. Seems to enrich and nurush the wood like linseed oil without the residue. I love it for really fine furniture.

product directions are not accurate
I have used Guardsmen polish for many years. When I ordered this product, I thought I was getting the concentrate because the description from Amazon says it can be diluted 4:1. However, when I received the product I noticed that the directions did not mention concentrate, so I contacted the company that manufactures the product. They told me that the original concentrate product (4:1 ratio) has been discontinued. The product I received can be diluted only to a 1:1 ratio .While I still think this is a good product, I think Amazon needs to revise their instructions.
